More BD Cards

Very stormy day at our place--perfect crafting weather!  I can't resist a chance to win one of 9 gift certificates for the SSS Wednesday Challenge this week.  The theme is BD cards--always good to have on hand.
First is a shaker card using SSS Birch Tree Window & Painted Happy Birthday.
The background is a panel blended with DI salty ocean & mowed lawn--same colors used for the sentiment.  I added sparkle to the words with WOS, which also gave something of a watercolor look.
For the card front, I lightly pounced the 2 inks on the edges.  Finished off with white Nuvo Drops.  I'm also entering SSS Flickr Challenge #94Stamplorations Theme.

The Altenew Fantasy Floral Die set was in my mailbox yesterday.  No, I didn't have a gift certificate--I broke my no spending rule!  The free shipping promotion got me--haha!  Must admit, I'm not one bit sorry--love these dies & they're very reasonably priced.
I pulled out my very old Penny Black cardstock--3 shades of each color.  I used a die cut panel given to me by my good friend, Cat, & stamped the sentiment (cut apart) from Altenew Painted Greetings in Brilliance Graphite Black.  Pink Nuvo Drops & twine finish it off.  I'm entering DCD, Double D & SSS Wednesday.  I'm also entering my card into the Altenew gallery of fan's best projects.  for Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  2. Oh, these are both so pretty, Greta. I especially like how you shaded your word die cut and the panel with the distress inks! (my card is next to yours on the SSSWC) Bravo also on a great die purchase from Altenew!! It's a stunning die and you used it beautifully.

  12. I LOVE LOVE the way you've used the dies on both of your amazing cards Greta!! These are both so pretty. You had stormy weather, we woke up to a light snow. It didn't last long or stick around after the bright beautiful sun came out. Still cold, but love that sunshine!
