Using Scraps #1
The IO Sketched Roses is a large square stamp, so I had left over pieces from my last card. Yesterday I decided to see how many different designs I could make with those pieces. Here's the first of 3 cards.
I took the longest piece & cut 3 little squares. Remember, you need to heat the embossed edges after you cut them to seal the ep. I love how the roses look on vanilla cardstock, so temporarily adhered the squares to see where the IO sentiment (B13027) should be stamped. Then I used my Mini MISTI & 2 green inks to get the shade I wanted. Decided to dry emboss one of my favorite folders, Anna Griffin's Rosa, before I mounted the squares with foam tape. No embellishments needed, to my eye, so left it as is. I'm entering Impression Obsession, the Snippets Playground (just for fun) & SSS Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

ReplyDeleteBrilliant, and I didn't know about sealing the EP. Thanks for that tip. I love this card...maybe more than the original big piece. There is always something so enchanting about little bits. I love those squares and the embossed card base. A total winner in my book.
