Winnie & Walter

I had this idea as soon as I saw Heather's August Color Combo for Winnie & Walter.
Finally sat down to do it & my first attempt mixed the yellow & blue so I had a green area--not part of the combo.  I used an oval die to cut the center of the panel which I attached in place with fun foam.  The edges were gold embossed as was the sentiment.  I stamped the little leaf on the kraft card front using Versamark.  I'm entering SSS Monday, Stamplorations Theme & Sketch & Die Cut Divas.

Decided to try again using applicators to apply the inks to the stamp so I could have more control.
Love how easy the Mini MISTI makes doing this technique. Still got a tiny bit of green, but hopefully that's OK.  So fun to get a totally different look just by framing the image with an oval window.  The panels were both sprayed with gold Perfect Pearls which gives a gorgeous shimmer in real life.
I think the first card looks like evening & this one looks like morning. I used W&W Into the Woods; Big, Bold Seasons & In Bloom: Frenchy's Festive Florals.  The Distress Inks are blueprint sketch, salty ocean, squeezed lemonade & carved pumpkin.  I'm entering W&W August Color Combo, SSS Monday & Word Art Wednesday.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  5. What a difference it makes in the colors when you mount on kraft or white. The perfect pearls gives such a glorious shine and mutes the color a bit. I love them both so much.
