Papertrey September Blog Hop Challenge
Hurrah--it's time for the monthly PTI Blog Hop! I love the inspiration piece with it's beautiful Fall colors. Decided to make a birthday card with Fall colored flowers on a dark background. The Sweet Life images are some of my favorites, although I still have a terrible time lining up the layers. Finally decided to go with what I had anyway. I stamped with a variety of inks on ivory cardstock & then sponged with one of the light colors to soften the look.
The sentiment from PTI Quilled Elegance is gold embossed on the dark chocolate panel. Instead of splattering with gold, I pulled out a very old Magenta stamp. I still love splatters, but this is fun for a different look. I'm also entering CAS on Friday & The Playground. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by--enjoy the hop!

Gorgeous bold, dramatic card, Greta! Love those flowers! I noticed that you, like many of us, discovered picmonkey was now a subscription service. I found ipiccy.com...works similar to picmonkey. Adding watermarks is a 'bit' tricky, so if you want a hand, let me know!

The dark brown is a good choice for your soft roses and your gold touches look elegant on it too. I'm a horrible splatterer so a stamp like yours would come in handy.
ReplyDeleteStunning Greta, I can see the inspiration in your card, but your card is far more lovely than the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous take on the inspiration photo, Greta! I love the chocolate brown with your flowers and how you used your stamp for splatters...such an elegant card!
ReplyDeleteI love your take Greta!
