Keren's colorful plaid background for Winnie & Walter Rerun No. 20 inspired me. I don't have Scenery Stripes, but I do have Scenery Stripes 2.
I tried over & over to make my idea work using 3 of the images. Finally I gave up & went with just the little triangles to make my version using 5 pretty Brilliance ink pads. The sentiment is from Big, Bold, Seasons & the stacked die cut word is covered in Wink of Stella. I finished off with clear Nuvo drops. I'm also entering Penny Black & More.
Next is my entry for SSS Flickr Challenge #73. I really love the little leaves in SSS Sketch Ranunculus.
After white embossing on Bristol paper I colored with 2 green & 1 blue Zig. Then I brushed heavily with Wink of Stella & mounted the panel with foam tape. The sentiment from the same set is stamped several times in Brilliance Starlite Black. The Nuvo jewel drops are actually green--don't know why they look yellow in the photo. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Gorgeous cards Greta... I really love the design on the first card and the colours are so lovely!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Greta. Love the little triangle lines on your card. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteGreta, your cards are perfect!
ReplyDeleteNow I see what you've been up to since you left our room. Those little colorful triangles are so cute I'm glad you couldn't find the other stripes. The leaves are so pretty and your coloring is awesome on them. I love the Nuvo drops. They are the perfect touch without adding bulk.
ReplyDeleteSo very cool! I love the idea of creating stripes with the mini arrows! I love what you've created and glad I inspired you a little xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards My friend. Love that second one...I need to make some man cards and that is a perfect design...yep I am casing it. Your top card almost reminds me of cool sherberts or gelatos...perfect for your summer theme.

Miss Greta...love your sweet triangles, they look amazing and I love them in those sweet pastel colors. Both of your cards are beautiful. Wanted to thank you for the beautiful and thoughtful retirement card....you are so sweet and totally made me day!
ReplyDeleteCrisp, clean and classy all the way with both these cards. I was strolling around in Kikki today and many of the styles could have come straight from Chez Greta. I like that they are flat and easy to post to, an added bonus.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you coloured round the embossing - it really pops!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week.
Hugs,

Lovely post with lovely creation! Thanks for stopping by to tell me the good news!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice cards, so fresh. I'm really getting more and more into the minimalistic style. I do worry when I send them out for swaps. Like will someone think I barely tried/dialed it in? CAS cards are not easy though. No room for error.
ReplyDeleteTwo beauties that have my CAS-loving heart singing! Little triangles and little leaves...sweetness!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
