A Rainbow of Blooms

We had an unwelcome visitor in the back yard last evening--a skunk! Luckily nothing disturbed it & I'm hoping it's moved on!  We've known they come through the neighborhood, but have never actually seen one in our yard before.  Now I'm thinking the increased number of squirrels driving Fritz crazy aren't so bad--haha!
Think my brain is full of too much inspiration--been playing with goodies, but nothing made into a card until today.  I loved Tracy's ink swiping post, so used that to get started.
I used these 6 mini DI pads: candied apple, carved pumpkin, fossilized amber, lucky clover, mermaid lagoon & wilted violet. I cut off a strip & attached it to the card front. Poppystamps Stitched Bloom Trio dies were part of a gift from a blogging friend--just love them!  I cut the smallest bloom from white cardstock scraps which are taking over my craft space--haha! The same inks were applied with a blending tool & PPP clear confetti mix decorates the centers.  The fun sentiment from Poppystamps Grateful Heart is stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black.  Think this could be used for any happy occasion--maybe a birthday or retirement.  I'm entering ATC, HLS Anything Goes with DiesPoppystamps & Word Art Wednesday.
One more rose picture--Chicago Peace.
It's not very fragrant, but it's on my favorites list due to the gorgeous blooms. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  15. Lovely card, love the vibrant colors. I ran over a skunk once. I was banished to the back of the yard for parking for awhile there. Not pleasant. Cindy had a visitor today as she was sitting in the open window--a hummingbird! She was beside herself with excitement. I wonder if she told the hummingbird, "Get help, I'm being held hostage here."

  16. Beautiful rainbow card with the border and lovely flowers! Your rose is so gorgeous! I hope the little skunk stays away from your yard. The smell of a skunk is not good! I'd rather smell roses!:-)

  18. A bright, fun look for this card Greta. I love the little retro looking blooms, they really pop on the white background. I have no idea what a skunk would smell like, but it doesn't sound good! Your rose is perfect - it reminds me of one of ours which is called Michelle Meilland.

  27. A beautiful rainbow coloured card Greta.

One one of our trips to Canada we were taken to visit distant family members. When we arrived they were quite upset as a skunk had run straight through the house not long before we arrived! That is my only experience of skunk although I never did see one. We did all have a good laugh about it though. Barbxx
