Father's Day and more Winnie & Walter

Hubby really liked the card Fritz had me make for Father's Day--haha!  I used a very old unmounted stamp I got years ago at a stamp convention & a sentiment from an Oregon company no longer in business.
Decided to go simple with just black & white plus a bit of red. The eyes & nose are covered in Crystal Lacquer.  I'm entering CAS on Friday & Penny Black & More.  Speaking of Fritz, had to snap a picture before he got his haircut.
I do love his furry face, but with this heat wave he'll feel better smooth & silky!

We spent Father's Day at hubby's daughter's & had a nice day. She made dinner & I brought brownies--all yummy!  I made a card to take to the granddaughter who is about to move out on her own.
I cut the Winnie & Walter word die for the first time & sponged with the June W&W Color Challenge colors using Distress Inks squeezed lemonade, salty ocean, picked raspberry & peeled paint.  I used alpha stickers & some black splatters to finish off the card made from textured white cardstock.  I'm also entering CropStop.  I've gotten behind on blog reading, but I'll be visiting you as soon as I can.  I really do appreciate all the encouraging comments.

  1. Sometimes less is more and your work epitomises this motto. Such a sweet doggie card with the hearts and I always like the way you use colour on titles. Something else, I need to try. Thanks as always, for the inspiration.

  3. This is a doggone cute Father's Day card. I'm glad Fritz had such a great idea. That is an adorable picture of him but I agree he will be cooler with less hair. Especially if you are having that intense heat I'm hearing about. I love the apartment card. It is a happy card with those bright colors. It is such an adventure to move out on your own.

  17. Love that doggy card, such a sweet image and I'll bet Steve enjoyed it too. Fritz is handsome but I can see that he might need a bit less of a coat in the hot summer months. Stay cool.
