Camp Create

This week is MFT Camp Create--5 days, 5 crafts.  I don't know if I'll complete them all, but the $150 gift certificate drawing is pretty motivating--haha!  Here is my card for Day 1--Wonderful Watercolor.  The good thing is, I finally used my Prima Confections watercolors!  They're very small which intimidated me, for some reason.  
I began by white embossing MFT Geometric Grid Background on watercolor paper.  My stamping wasn't that good, but decided a distressed kind of look might work & I really like it.  The panel was mounted to navy, textured cardstock & a white textured card.  The sentiment from MFT Tag You're It is white embossed on a vellum strip.  I arranged MFT Layered Leaves die cut from vellum, gluing only near the stems, & added some white sparkly dots.  I'm also entering CropStop, June HLS Watercolor Challenge & SSS Wednesday.

Next is my card for Day 2--Remarkable Resist.  I love emboss resist & MFT Peaceful Wildflowers are delicate & yet bold enough to make a statement.  
MFT Color Challenge #71 is beautiful & luckily there are very similar Distress Inks: ripe persimmon, squeezed lemonade, seedless preserves & peacock feathers.  I added water drops, splattered with picket fence Distress Paint & die cut the panel with Lil' Inker Stitched Rectangle.  The white embossed sentiment is from the same set & Hero Arts ombre sequins (thank you, Betty!) happened to be a great match.  I'm also entering ATSM, Penny Black & More & SSS Wednesday.     Two real beauties Greta, I really love the colours and inky background of the first, it looks so tactile with the grid paper, but then the rainbow effect on the second is equally appealing so unable to choose a fav. Many thanks for joining us at Penny Black and More challenge.

    I'm so happy you came and shared a room with me. I love your watercolor card and I gasped when I saw your resist card. People are going to think just because we are roomies we copied from each other so we have to assure them we didn't. It's just that great minds think alike! I made mine yesterday but didn't get it posted until this morning. I hope to get my shaker card done today but maybe I should check and see yours first!

    Superb cards today Greta. I love the textured look with the triangles on the blue/green card and the delicate leaves cascading down the side add a lovely softness. The embossed wildflowers really stand out against the glorious colours on the "thinking of you card". They both make me want to get straight into my craft room and play.     Both cards are gorgeous Greta! I love that you didn't freak out at the less than perfect stamping...that look is so lovely with the watercolor and the dimension/texture factor is off the charts.

    Your blended resist card has the most fabulous colors and the resist is stunning; such a perfect stamp choices and you showed the technique with masterful execution.
