Mix It Up Feminine Tag

Good thing my hair appointment is today since we're under a Winter Weather Watch starting tomorrow.  I hate freezing rain--so glad I don't have to worry about commuting to work! Had to play along with Ellen Hutson Mix it Up with Art Impressions.  AI is an Oregon company & years ago they had a retail store where I shopped, took classes & even taught a few classes.  I was inspired by Kittie's wreath tag for 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist.
Maybe my favorite AI stamp is this gorgeous 2004 wreath which I double stamped in PTI Tropical Teal & Vintage Jadeite--love the resulting color which just happens to match the beautiful Lawn Fawn plaid paper I'd already cut into.  I cut the tag shape myself & used Stickles Christmas Red for the sparkle.  The die cut sentiment is EH Merry & Bright which I stacked 2 high & covered with Diamond Glaze--purposely leaving it white. I'm back into using my eyelets--glad I still have my setter & know where it is--haha!  I'm also entering Retro Rubber & The Playground. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by--I know how busy everyone is.

  1. Love the double color stamping on this pretty wreath. It looks so lovely paired with the LF plaid at the top and I love the design of the tag. Very much like the white of the sentiment...looks very classy, and bet the glaze makes it look so shiny. TFS & Hugs

  2. Such a beautiful wreath stamp! Love your pretty tag with pretty holiday colors!! I haven't used eyelets for a long time - brads are easier and faster for me but I won't let go of my setter! Thanks for playing along with our color challenge and hope you will join us again soon. Happy Holidays!!

  11. Well, I haven't seen an eyelet on a card in a very long time, so glad you used one on this beautiful and festive tag. I have neglected my eyelets for a long time so, thank you for reminding me that they are fabulous additions to your projects.
Thank you for sharing with us at RETRO RUBBER.
    Hugs.

  12. Wow, I love this tag. The paper and the wreath are just beautiful. Be safe if you have to go out. Ice is the very worst, there is no control when driving on it. We ended up with 3.9 inches of snow yesterday and now it is freezing out. I have so many eyelets and I think they are a wonderful reinforcement on a tag. The ink colors on your wreath are a perfect match to the paper.

  14. A beautifully coordinated wreath image with the gorgeous plaid!! Using the red stickles along with the dazzling white is wonderful... wish I could see this in person. I bet it just shimmers!! Thanks for sharing your tag with Retro Rubber's last challenge of the year. Hope you get to stay inside for awhile and craft. Freezing rain is more like what we get in Atlanta if the weather does turn nasty! My girls had a spa day and look/smell wonderful... give Fritz a smooch for me....
