April Showers

Penny Black Saturday Challenge
Lots of options this month at Penny Black Saturday Challenge as our theme is April Showers.  You could make a baby or wedding shower card or feature galoshes or umbrellas.  Just be sure you use a Penny Black image.
I actually went literal so I could use one of my very old (2003) PB stamps that has a quote I've always loved. It's really appropriate for the weather where I live & for life.  I stamped PB Before the Snow (2009) in Adirondak Bottle Green (a pad I've had nearly 20 years!) using it full strength & second generation across a white panel.  The vellum was cut slightly smaller so the bottom of the trees are not covered to symbolize that the shower ended.
I used Diamond Glaze to make the raindrops--another product I've had for many years & it still comes out of the bottle great!  Are you seeing a theme here?!  I know companies need people to keep buying if they're to stay in business, but I've done more than my share for nearly 20 years!  Not that I've stopped buying & in fact the dotted die I used to stitch across the top is a new purchase from Paper Smooches. The sentiment is stamped & edged in VersaMagic Jumbo Java.  Hope I've inspired you to join us.  I'm also entering SSS MondaySSS Wednesday & Retro Rubber. Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.
Edited to add: also entering JUGS.
