Stella's Card |
Also used one of my first Spellbinder dies that happened to be the right size for the Peddler's Pack sentiment stamped in Brilliance Mediterranean Blue. The Tim Holtz star cut from silver glitter paper has been laying on my table since the holidays. I'm also entering CAS Mix Up.
Next is my second card using the embossing over watercolor technique. Zig markers were used for the watercolors & the floral images are Hero Arts Layering For You Flowers plus a small one from a set I can't remember. The scalloped edges are a PPP die & this is my first time to use the Neat & Tangled Painted Hello. I heat embossed the word in white & then colored over it with COPIC RV19 to match the Zig. Finished off with some green PPP sequins. Fun to make a CAS card with black white space! I'm entering these challenges: a2z Scrapbooking, ABNH, Little Tangles, Curtain Call & CASology.
The are indeed very different Greta, the first so bold and the second has to be my favourite, only because it has flowers.

ReplyDeleteWow, the embossing over watercolour is simply amazing Greta, and need to try that too. The first card is so clean, bold and beautiful, just what a 4th of July should be.

awesome cards Greta. Love your watercoloured card and so pleased to have you join us at A2Z.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards both but your second one really caught my eye in the Casology gallery this week! What a brilliant technique - don't think I've ever seen it before. Looks fabulous against the black!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards and I must say that the second card is very effective embossing with watercolour technique, Greta!
ReplyDeleteYou are really planning ahead with the 4th. I am right there with you as I bought a plate Friday to display on the 4th! Perfect 4th of July card. Greta, that black card is just beautiful. I went right to Gina K to see how that was done and I can't wait to try it. The colors you used are so pretty together and I love them on the black. You sponged so well it looks like the flowers are on vellum. This is a technique I've never seen before. You are enabling me to JUMP out of the box, not step!

Loving your embossing over the watercolor too. That's such a fun technique, and yours looks like it may have been done on a vellum too. Looks very dramatic over the black bkground with the bold hot pink sentiment. Two very wonderful cards. TFS
