By now you know I love using foil with self adhesive fun foam. Couldn't resist adding another color of foil to my stash--pewter. When it arrived I thought I made a mistake, but oh my goodness--it's wonderful! You might think it's silver, but it's darker & very elegant. It will also be great for masculine cards.
I've been wanting to frame a picture from my meeting with Darnell last year & finally did it. The cute blossoms from Uniko Flower Power #7 are stamped in PTI Spring Rain & Enchanted Evening. I covered them with Diamond Glaze giving a clear dimension. They were too light, so I added faded jeans Distress Stickles & pearl centers. The vellum leaves are by 4enScrap & the friends die cut is PTI inked in Enchanted Evening & covered with WOS. It's now in the place of honor on my fridge! I'm entering these challenges: Uniko, CropStop, Double D & SSS Wednesday.
Thought I'd leave you with pictures of my first roses to bloom--very early this year. Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.
What a lovely frame. Pewter is definitely a nice color to add to your stash. It really makes this frame come to life and looks great with these flowers. This is a masterpiece!

Awesome photo of you and Darnell! It is beautifully decorated with the foil and sentiment! And, lovely roses! I'm still waiting for my tulips to bloom. Should be any day now. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty frame for 2 pretty ladies. Lucky you to meet up with Our Darnell...and I can see you both enjoyed it. I have never thought of trying to foil the fun foam. Would love to have instructions....did you use the nuvo glue to adhere, or ?Minc? wonder if the heat would melt the foam so prob'ly not the Minc. Good idea though, such dimension, and the flowers are wonderful too. TFS

Bravo Greta!!
Thank you for the head's up to come over, Greta! I'm glad you did or I would have been really startled to see my mug front and center on your blog! I love the frame you made for our photo, but you know, I love the one you gave me even more!! It's still sitting right here in the Playhouse!! Although I do love the addition of the friends word across the front. You are really a wizard with the foils! (I had to smile that you didn't even link my name, like everyone knows me - too funny!) Thank you for making my day and then some!! Mwah! Also, thanks for sharing your gorgeous roses!! Hugs, Darnell
