Summer Birthday

Penny Black Saturday ChallengeAre you ready for another Penny Black Saturday Challenge? We have a fun theme for August:  Hot Summer Colours.  I chose yellow for the sun & green for grass & leaves. My card began by sponging Distress Ink squeezed lemonade in the right bottom corner, getting lighter toward the center. Then I inked Penny Black's "verdant" with Distress Ink mowed lawn, spritzed & stamped on the left side.  I spritzed & stamped twice more without re-inking. When it was dry the same ink was lightly sponged over the image.
The Penny Black sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I added a cardstock strip sponged with the green ink & some splatters. Hope you'll check out the wonderful work of my teammates & play along in our challenge.  I'm entering Anything Goes at SSS Wednesday where they're featuring Penny Black. Thanks so much for stopping by.
