70s & cloudy--what a relief! We still need rain, but for now I'm enjoying the lovely weather. I do love Fall--usually we have lots of sunny days, but not so hot & football is back! The IO challenge fits right in since the theme is Fall Colors. One of my favorite images is leaves, so I have quite a few stamps & dies including this gorgeous IO Collage Leaf 5. My simple card uses one of my all-time favorite techniques--emboss resist. The leaf is clear embossed 3 times & then I sponged on Distress Inks scattered straw, spiced marmalade & fired brick. Aren't they gorgeous together?! I used my NBUS IO die (Greetings Top Edgers) mounted above a piece of gold ribbon. Finished off with some Dew Drops I recently won at Pixies Snippets Playground--thank you, thank you, Di! I did use one snippet, so will enter at the Playground just for fun. Since this leaf stamp has a pattern design, I think this qualifies at CAS-ual Chic. I've missed challenges at The Kraft Journal, so I'm happy to enter my card that has embossing, ribbon & die cut. May have to make another one of these as I'm enjoying it at my work space & I hate to put it in an envelope--LOL!
Quite a treat yesterday evening as a pair of Black Headed Grosbeaks stopped by my feeder--so beautiful. Enjoy your day & thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
Beautiful fall card! Love the pretty leaves! Glad you are having cooler weather now. It was cool this morning, but it's now in low 80's. Have a great week!:-)
