Just be Happy

The 3rd session of MFT Summer School is about to end.  Here's my first card combining repetition, symmetry & saturation.  Would you believe, I ruined my first version attaching a vellum overlay?!  I really did have fun masking & sponging inks on this beautiful MFT stencil (thank you sweet blogging friend!) so I just started over without getting upset.  The Distress Inks are ripe persimmon, festive berries, dusty concord, salty ocean & mowed lawn.  The MFT sentiment is black embossed & mounted with foam tape.  I used my Embellishment Coloring Markers (you may know them as Copics--LOL) to get matching little pearls.  I love vellum, but have to say, I like the card without it.  I'm also entering Make Your Mark at Addicted to Stamps. Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.

  10. I love this sentiment. Sometimes we forget in our daily lives to just remember we need to enjoy our lives and be happy. It's easy to get caught up in "stuff" and forget to be. I love this colorful card and the pearls are so pretty. I would love to meet you when you come here. Just say the word and I'm there!
