CCCB inspiration |
Finally decided to combine the MFT sketch & MFT Color Palette challenges with CCCB.
The wreath die cut is pretty delicate, so I used the inlaid technique with the 2 shades of green.
How does this work for hubby, you may ask. Well, green is one of the colors he likes & this year he picked out our wreath (from the high school kids I always buy from) since they came around while I was at work. It was so fun to come home & see it hanging by the door.
The words are from PTI Take Three Winter. Hubby has wanted to know who was his father for quite a few years as he was convinced it wasn't the man his mother divorced when he was young. I won't go into all the details--suffice it to say thanks to DNA testing done by Ancestry.com he found him. Turns out he died many years ago, but the knowledge of who he was means so much to hubby. I thought these words were fitting & hopefully he'll like the card. I used a silver metal sticker in the center of the bow--more masculine than a gem or pearl--& the brick embossing folder is Tim Holtz.
Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.
Wonderful story and a wonderful card, Greta. The two greens work so well together and the brick background add so much dimension.
