It Worked!

I love foil, but have not been very happy with the results using my laminator.  Decided to give it another try a few days ago.  This time I used 2-3 sheets of regular weight cardstock rather than copy paper for shims.  The printed toner sheets came out nearly perfect & I had great results using Transfer Gel through a stencil.
First is the tag I made for Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas.  The tag is Poppystamps Tunnel Tags & the stencil is SSS Falling Snow.
I spread on the Transfer Gel & let it dry completely.  Then I foiled it using the GK Sparkling Silver foil.  My felt snowflake has been sitting on my table since PTI SAF.
I was actually trying to make a 3D flower using PTI Lovely Layers, but it looked like a snowflake to me.  I added the blue Sparklet to the center at the time I made it.  The sentiment from PTI Botanical Blocks IV was stamped in Brilliance Mediterranean Blue & I tied on a blue satin bow.

The Twofer Card Challenge theme is Wreath & if you know me, you know I love wreaths.  I don't even know how many wreath stamps & dies I have--haha!
Since the cards must be for 2 different occasions, I chose Penny Black's Berry Wreath from 2011.  I actually justified getting it at my LSS 6 years ago because I thought it could be used for backgrounds all year.
My birthday card began by stamping the wreath (overlapping the images), in white pigment ink on a dark pink cardstock panel.  I used a very old satin embossing powder I need to use more often--so pretty.
I die cut a circle from the panel & glued it to a doily I saved from a restaurant.  The 2004 sentiment was stamped in Memento Lilac Posies--a perfect match to the pink cardstock.  The die cut bow is PPP & I just had to use a bunch of my old adhesive pearls for my girly card.

For the Christmas card I white embossed the wreath on textured gray cardstock.
At the top is a strip of my red foiled toner printed paper & silver glitter tape.
The sentiment from 1992 was stamped on vellum in Brilliance Rocket Red.  Decided embellishments weren't needed.  I'm also entering Allsorts, HLS Christmas, Penny Black Creative ChristmasRetro RubberStamping Sensations & Time Out.

Friendship Card & Christmas Tags

Lucky for me, the W&W Color Combo challenge deadline was extended & last night I finally got a card made.  I looked up how to get a peach color & it worked!  I just mixed Geranium Red Zig & Yellow Zig on an acrylic blog--more yellow than red.
Then I used it to watercolor W&W Mini Scenery: Bed of Roses I had stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne on Bristol paper.  I added in some green to represent leaves.  I used gray Zigs for a watercolor wash frame & splattered with a black Zig.  The roses were attached to a gray panel matted with black.  The sentiment from A Tree for all Seasons was stamped in Nocturne, watercolored with the gray Zigs & attached with foam tape.  I'm also entering HLS Watercolor Challenge, SSS Wednesday & The 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

I also made a couple more tags for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Tracey's tag on Day 2 inspired me to open my Altenew Layered Laurels stamp set.  It also made me put the Bountiful Branch set onto my wishlist.  It never ends--haha!
I used Poppystamps Tunnel Tags die & stamped the 4 layers in Altenew Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, PTI New Leaf & Spring Moss.  I used Christmas Stickles for berries & gold embossed part of a sentiment from a very old HA stamp set.  The beautiful gold trim tied in a bow was a gift from my sweet friend, Rosemary, & I embellished it with a red Sparklets gem that matches the Stickles.  I'm also entering Retro Rubber (sentiment from 2007) & Time Out.

Lots of wonderful tags to case so far in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  Zsofia's double tags on Day 5 immediately caught my eye.  I love the festive & elegant look of the black, white & gold.  Again my version uses Poppystamps Tunnel tags die.  I got an MFT Christmas sentiment set a long time ago, but don't think I've used this one.  It fit perfectly & I love how it looks embossed in gold.
I used punches to make the black reinforcer & tied on a couple different twines.  I'm also entering HLS Christmas challenge

Another Transformation

I really love the PTI Transformation Tuesday challenges.  This time I remade a card I really like.
OLD CARD
Thought it'd be fun to use the same stamps & design for a totally different look.  The stamps are PTI Botanical Blocks IV.  The new card was made by stamping the poinsettia block & sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne--fabulous ink!
NEW CARD
I used my mini MISTI, but only had to stamp one time.  So glad I did get some Zigs awhile after everyone was talking about them.  Even though I can't really color, I'm generally happy with my messy watercoloring.  Can't see in the photo, but the berries & dots are colored with a gold gel pen.  I added splatters with the darker purple Zig & decided against score lines & tiny bead flower centers this time.  I'm really glad I got this stamp set & am anxious to use the holly block.  I'm also entering ATC, HLS Christmas & SSS Wednesday.

A Tag and 2 Cards

I probably wouldn't make tags except for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event every year.  So many great prizes & lots of inspiring ideas.  Many of mine end up as elements on a card.
My first tag was inspired by Tracey's snowflake tags on Day 1.  I love the vibrant ink blending & the bells.  For my version I used Poppystamps Tunnel Tag die, Penny Black stamps from the 2008 set called Crystalline, silver trim from my sweet friend Rosemary & DO inks candied apple, abandoned coral & picked raspberry.  I'm also entering the PB Creative Christmas Challenge & PBSC.
 ...or Hedgie
Next is my entry for Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash.  I love their wreath dies & Rosemary let me borrow hers--that's a good friend!  I ended up with a very classic & CAS Christmas card, which I love.
Because it was so simple, I made the card from white linen textured cardstock--hard to see in the photo, but a big difference in real life.  The little wreaths were colored with 2 green Tattered Angels shimmer sprays.  I ended up using a brush to get the color as dark as I wanted.  You don't waste so much, as long as you don't knock over the bottle!  Yes, I did, but luckily it didn't make it to the carpet.  I brushed on red TA to color the Heidi Swapp alphabet chipboard stickers made especially for shimmer sprays.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.

I needed to get my brother's birthday card into the mail today, so last night I made his card inspired by ABNH.  I always intend to enter the challenges & this time I made it.  The gorgeous color combo, perfect for Fall leaves, works great for a masculine card.  I haven't done DI smooshing for awhile, so pulled out dusty concord, barn door & spiced marmalade.  Usually I do one color at a time, but this time I let them do some mixing which gave me a bit of brown as well.
The leaves are HA Autumn Icons Fancy Dies & they were so pretty I put the little pieces in place so more color would show.  The ivory card was lightly stamped with a HA background & dry embossed.  I blended some DI antique linen on the edges.  The thin frame from SSS Frames dies was cut from burgundy cardstock & stacked 3 high.  The hardest thing was trimming the 2 big leaves to exactly fit inside the frame, but I finally got it.  I stamped the HA sentiment in Versafine Clair Acorn ink.  I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & W2CB
