SSS, PTI, Gina K

We can go weeks leaving home only for curbside grocery pick ups.  Kinda strange that all 3 of us ended up with appointments yesterday.  Hubby got a haircut--first client of the day, Fritz had an annual chest x-ray to follow his heart murmur & I had a steroid injection in my hip.  Whew--normal life--haha!  Also good news--the ruptured sebaceous cyst Fritz had healed up just fine, so no surgery!
On to my cards before the challenges end.
First is a floral card in Fall colors--not a leaf to be found!
Love SSS Anna's Flowers in any colors, but here I used Distress Oxides fossilized amber, spiced marmalade, abandoned coral & peeled paint.  The SSS sentiment die was cut from gold cardstock (inexpensive from Michaels & I love it!) & white cardstock scraps to stack it for some dimension.
I used some soft gold gems from my stash for just a bit of sparkle.  I entered SSS Wednesday & SSS Flickr.
My card for the PTI challenge to use a vellum accent reverts back to a design from when I started stamping, but I still love the look.
I started by stamping a branch from Turning a New Leaf in Simply Chartreuse & Ripe Avocado on a vanilla card.  Using the darker ink on the ends of the leaves doesn't really show since most of the stamping is covered with the vellum which I attached with a scrap of matching ribbon.
PTI Wonderful Words: Hello was die cut from champagne glitter Fun Foam.  The beautiful Champagne Lucy's Little Things were the perfect embellishment.  I'm also entering SSS MondaySSS Wednesday.

My 3rd card mini slimline card was made for Just Us Girls & ModSquad.  Gina K's Holiday Tapestry stamp set is a beauty & I realized the images don't have to be for the holidays.
Here I embossed with a beautiful old powder called Pewter.  It has a bit of glitter in it which is beautiful in person.  Love how it looks on the PTI Soft Stone panel.  The sentiment is from the Gina K set called Winter Hugs.  I was lucky to find it for a fraction of the original cost from a stamper purging her stash.  It included the dies & had never been used!
Love that it has sentiments for all year.  I added a black strip & 6 black sequins.  So honored that GKD actually noticed this card on IG & showed it in her stories.  I'm also entering SSS Monday & SSS Wednesday.

  6. Your household sounds quite similar to ours. We only venture out for important appointments and to gather some food. All your cards are crisp and clean, perfect for posting. Especially like the vellum overlay. Hope your hip responds well to the cortisone.

  13. Three very special cards Greta and all so different. Love the vibrant colours and gold accents on the first, the lovely vellum and sparkly sentiment on the second and that amazing pewter embossing on the third. I know what you mean about going out. I have a few days away next week with my sisters and whilst I know I will enjoy it, I am feeling a bit anxious as I don’t often venture far from home these days. Seems so strange saying that xx
