My card for Poppystamps June challenge was inspired by Tracey McNeely & Lin Brandyberry. I used Birch Tree Grace dies Layer A, B & C--just the wreath part. The flower is Poppystamps Stitched Bloom Trio die cut from a white scrap.
I inked the largest & smallest with Brilliance Rocket Red & Mediterranean Blue. Then I covered all of them in Versamark & embossed with Hero Arts Sparkle ep.
The sentiment from Poppystamps Friends and Flowers was stamped in the same inks. I embossed dots of the ep on the card front, but doesn't show in the pictures. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday & The Snippets Playground.
Next is my card for the June Memory Box challenge. I don't know why it doesn't show, but the watercolor panel has a wash of Distress Ink tumbled glass behind the butterflies.
I used the technique of smooshing the ink on a piece of acetate, spritzing with water & touching it to the paper--pretty in person. Memory Box Moonlight Butterfly was die cut from 3 shades of blue cardstock & Kaleidoscope Butterfly was die cut from vellum. The bodies were die cut from a white scrap & are covered in Star Dust Stickles.
The layers are only attached in the centers & the butterflies are attached to the panel only at the centers. The sentiment from Poppystamps Grateful Heart was stamped in Delicata Sapphire Blue & the panel die cut with AJVD pierced rectangle was attached to a white card. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday.
Can't tell from the picture, but the word is covered in Nuvo Glaze, so it's beautifully shiny. The little bows are PPP.

What stunners Greta. The first one is so elegant looking with the circle die cut and the flowers. Love the butterflies on your second card. Lovely looking butterflies. And the pop of red of the sentiment on the white embossing and the kraft card is perfect. Plus the eclispse tag is great.
ReplyDeleteThree wonderful cards, Greta. My favourite is the first one, lovely design and a great sentiment. xx
ReplyDeleteThere fantastic cards Greta. I love the combination of the Kraft card and the red of the Christmas card. Thanks for joining in the fun at Rudolph days this month.

Three beautiful cards, Greta!! Lovely dies in pretty color on your first card! Very pretty butterfly card! I can see a bit of blue behind the butterflies! And, the last card is quite the beauty in red and craft! And, the snowflake stencil is so awesome along with the tag! A very eye catching interesting design! Oh, what a delight coming to your blog today...well done!!
ReplyDeleteThree wonderful cards, Greta! Your layered blooms are super sweet. I've been thinking of you and wondering about the heat in your area. Bet Fritz doesn't like it! We've been at a humid 90 for a couple of days and have another to get through. Crazy weather for June around here. These are August temps!
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous set of cards, Greta! The Christmas card is so eye-catching with the tag die cut from the center and then popped up! Loving the pretty butterflies on the second one and that sweet flower on the first card!
ReplyDeleteThree great cards, Greta. A fun red, white and blue sparkly card and the butterflies are so pretty. I like smooshing on acetate to put the color where you want it. That Gina K. snowflake is lovely with white embossing. Red, white and kraft is always stunning. I'm glad you are keeping cool. Your heat wave is smothering. It was 97 with high humidity yesterday here with more of the same today. Heat index of 103 so you are not alone, but you win for temps!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous selection of cards Greta - perfect as always. Love your snippets card - such a pretty colour combination. And I cane see the background 'wash' on the butterfly card - faint but it's there alright! And such an elegant Christmas card. Hope you're coping in the current high temperatures over there.

Your first card is beautiful, I love the shaped centre and the reds, white and blue. There's me thinking I was seeing a blur? and I wasn't there is a blue frame around your butterflies, they are beautiful as is your card. The Kraft, white and red are a fabulous combination as is your design Greta, gorgeous cards.
