ITP/PTI and Stamplorations

We've both had our vaccinations now--such a relief!  Hubby had a sore arm & was tired after his second shot.  In 2 weeks we can have family at our house, according to the current guidelines.  Hope you're staying well & can soon get vaccinated, if you're not already.
I love that ITP/PTI are having frequent challenges & think I've only missed one.  Here's my card for the first What Do I Do With This? challenge.
I loved heat embossing the first time I saw it over 20 years ago.  I have a huge stash of embossing powders, so had lots of options.  Decided to finally make a card I had in mind a long time ago using a tree from PTI Enchanted Forest.  I stamped the base layer using Cocoa Bean, Ripe Avocado & Simply Chartreuse.  Then I stamped the top layer in white pigment ink & poured on a mixture of white & Diamond Sparkle powder to look like glistening snow.
The sentiment is from the same set & I used a scrap of Ripe Avocado for the mat.  The plain white card just wasn't the look I wanted, so I dry embossed with the Richard Garay Pine Needles folder--just right!  I'm also entering Rudolph Days & CHNCC.

Next is my card for ITP/PTI The Great Cover-Up.  A local craft store had Distress Oxide ink pads on sale for buy one get one free.  Couldn't pass that up since I've been wanting kitsch flamingo & one of the brown shades.  Oh my goodness--I love that new pink!  I combined it with squeezed lemonade & lucky clover for a Springy looking panel.
It's been a long time since I used Splits: Just a Note & I really do love it.  After the panel was completely dry, I heat embossed the image in gold powder & the sentiment in Egyptian Gold which has sparkle.
The edges were gold embossed & I splattered the card front with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass.  I'm also entering WAW.
Last is how I used my cardstock stencil die cut from Stamplorations Bloomtangled 1 die to make the card in my last post.  I trimmed it until I liked the look & attached it to a white card.
Then I "colored" the flower with a shimmer pen & added Nuvo Glaze.
The Stampendous sentiment was stamped in Versafine Clair Morning Mist & I added white Pico Embellisher dots.  I'm entering Stamplorations CAS Challenge & Anything Goes.

  5. That is a happy tree and the spring sponged background on the note card is lovely. What a pretty flower die that is and I like the color you used. I watched the Oregon game yesterday and rooted for them. They wear the same colors as my sons did when they were in high school, black and orange. Hope they go all the way.

  10. Pleased you are all fully vaccinated now Greta. Hubby got the call for his second this morning so I should get the call for mine in a couple of weeks. It will be so nice to feel some sort of protection enabling us to see the children and grandchildren after so long.

A lovely collection of cards and really drawn to the rainbow one in the middle.

  13. Beautiful cards! I love how clever you are creating your own stencil using a die to create a card and then use the "stencil" in another card! Thanks for joining us at STAMPlorations CAS.

  17. Congrats on your vaccines! I love these cards. Lucky you to get a deal on DOs. Those three colors look fabulous together. And I love your fussy cutting of the STAMPlorations cover plate. Isn't that a great way to stretch your stash. I love how sparkly you made it. Thanks for playing with us at STAMPlorations CAS Cards this month.

  20. Your trio is wonderful. I love how you framed the trio and backed it with the EF. The ink blending with gold is stunning and I'm jealous that you have the new pink DO! The third card not only is beautiful but a clever use of the stencil. Bravo on the vaccinations and future gatherings.

  21. It's always a pleasure to settle down with a cuppa to read your blog. I like the clean, simple lines of the Tree card. The split card is so striking with the bands of colour and the gold embossing. My favourite is the Easter Card. So pretty and I like the way you've trimmed the die cut. Good to hear you are up to date with your vaccinations. Keep well now.

  25. All your cards are so lovely, Greta.
The Rudolph entry is very stately looking. All that gorgeous twinkling snow on your tree image looks really great.
Glad you have your jabs, we are waiting for our first still. There has been a problem getting vaccinations here as our stock has not arrived like it was supposed to. It has been a challenge for the government to access enough for us all!

Thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
