My first card is for Memory Box Beautiful Backgrounds, Day of the Month Club, Butterflies & DRU. I did a watercolor wash & then stenciled with MB Texture Distressed Grid stencil & spritzed with shimmer mist.
The inks are PTI Blueberry Sky & Enchanted Evening. MB Moonlight Butterfly was die cut from pink glitter tape & vellum.
The sentiment is Stampendous, the mat is Enchanted Evening & the dots are white Pico Embellisher.
I wasn't very happy with the results when I first tried Kathy Racoosin's Print Making with Die Cuts technique. But seeing all the great cards people are making for CAS Mix Up inspired me to try again.
This time I used Altenew Watercolor Markers & a water brush to color Pinkfresh Studio Delicate Blossoms die cuts & blotted them on a watercolor panel. I picked my favorite part of the panel to use behind the die cuts.
The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio Delicate Wreath & I added Shimmer Pico Embellisher dots to the flower centers. I'm also entering PFS March Challenge, Flowers & The Snippets Playground (flowers die cut from white scraps).
My last card is for ITP PTI The Great Cover Up, Floral card. I gold embossed ITP Framed in Florals & a sentiment from PTI Wreath for all Seasons on a Bristol panel. Then I watercolored with Zigs & a water brush for a soft, pastel look.I debated about splatters, but decided to spritz with gold shimmer mist instead. When it dried, I again stamped & gold embossed. Love the bolder, gold lines.I added light green Nuvo drops & attached the panel to an off white card. I'm also entering Craftlandia Challenge 6 & WAW.
three amazing cards, Greta - your printmaking cards looks like a winner; the butterfly Easter card is gorgeous with all the sparkle; and the gold certainly is perfect on your spring card.
ReplyDeleteThree really lovely cards, your print making with die cuts has worked really well this time, so lovely to see you in the CAS Mix Up gallery. Your heat embossed spring card is so elegant and wonderful xx

The rest of the cards, precious too.
Thank you for participating in the Craftlandia 6 challenge.
I think you rocked that print making card, it is fabulous. Hard to pic a favorite from these three all are fantastic.
ReplyDelete3 Beautiful cards for 3 fun challenges, Greta. So happy you only felt poorly for a day after your vaccine so you could get back to creating your beauties:-) Love the artsy look you got with your print making with die cuts background on your 2nd card. So pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up. Your 2 other cards are beauties too. TFS all 3 cards, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better after your second vaccine Greta. We get ours next week. I like the shimmery pink butterflies and the font on the first card. Your middle card with the watercolour panel looks fabulous and the gold on the final card adds a touch of elegance. A gorgeous trio. TFS
ReplyDeletePleased you got your second jab Greta, here in the UK they are spacing them 11/12 weeks apart although some of the scientists recommend closer.
ReplyDeleteA super collection of cards as always, all so different but equally pretty.

glad you are fully vaccinated now Greta. Still awhile away here in NZ... What a great set of cards today. All so beautiful
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly card is amazing, it looks like the butterflies are about to fly.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining with ua at DotMCC again!! Good luck!!! Gundi
Happy to hear that you are feeling better after your last vaccine! We had ours and didn’t have any problem with it. Lovely as can be are all your creations, Greta! Very pretty sparkly butterflies on your first card! And, your last cards are full of spring color, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWow, a great array of cards that are spring and Easter. The print making card looks pretty, Greta. There is no right or wrong. I'm sorry you had a reaction but are safer now. I didn't have a reaction but Daisy did. For the first time since she's been allowed on the bed, she wouldn't get up there with me the day I got my second shot. She must have smelled the medicine and didn't like it.
ReplyDeleteAll are very Beautiful Greta, each have their special touch to make them stand out. Sorry to hear you were affected by the jab, I luckily only have a slight pain in my arm. At least you are safe.
ReplyDeleteFaith x
Same here with my first vaccination Greta x. It will be awhile before my second x. What fabulous and creative cards and love how you've done the Easter card...different and so creative x.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are OK now, Greta.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous collection of cards you made! Each one is different and beautiful. Lovely watercolouring and gold lines on the third card. THANK YOU so much for joining Craftlandia Challenge. Hugs, my dear friend, and good luck in the draw.
Fabulous cards Greta. I really like the first card.
ReplyDeleteYou must be really relieved to have your vaccinations completed. We are still waiting for our first one (probably still at least 2 months away for me).
Three beautiful cards Greta! Looks like you've been very productive! I LOVE your print card made with your die-cuts. Great work. The background gives the illusion of a garden filled with this adorable flowers. Adds visual depth and dimension to your card. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
ReplyDeleteThree beauties here, Greta! Love the pretty print made flowers that make a perfect background for your sweet colored die cuts! Pretty butterflies on the first card and I LOVE the gold embossing and pastel colors on the third card! Thanks for sharing in our birthday celebration at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteDelighted you tried Kathy R's technique...look how terrific it turned out. Your prints turned out so beautifully. All three cards are lovely. Think that little lull after your 2nd vaccine made your creative mind even more productive. Thanks for entering into CAS Mix Up's anniversary challenge.
ReplyDeleteAnother trio of pretty cards! I love that Easter sentiment on card 1. The PFS Delicate Blooms turned out nicely. The last card is glorious in all its golden touches.
ReplyDeleteLoving that first card you have made with the butterflies. I am dreading my second jab as I had such a bad time on the first one. Am hoping it won't be as bad. Mine is not until the end of April though. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you got you 2nd vaccine but I know what you mean when you say it made you feel rough, still at least you are safe now. Your cards are gorgeous and great job with the print making. Fabulous butterflies ans the spring card makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteLove die cuts. Love the butterfly card and your second card. The third card is special. All three are great.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have both shots. We are working on getting our first. We live more than 20 miles from where the shots are being given. I do not drive through the heavy traffic in those areas. We are waiting for something closer to home.
Hugs,
Jim
Gorgeous colors and designs Greta. I just read an article that women have a more robust immune system and that is why they have more of a reaction to the second shot. Anything is better than getting the virus.
ReplyDeleteHugs diane
another beautiful set of cards, greta! loving the sparkly butterflies on the first one. the background on the second is so unique. the final card is soft and lovely with the gold embossing.
ReplyDeleteMuy bonitas y frescas, felicidades.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Glitter and spring so beautiful
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you got a hard reaction to your second vaccine, Greta, but they say that means it is working well to protect you. The feeling is way more relief than you even imagined, isn't it?! Your designs today are really spectacular! My fave is your print-making! I'm so glad you tried it again, it's gorgeous! Take care. Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLove all your wonderful makes Greta. I followed your link to the technique for your gorgeous background on your snippets card - certainly another one on the list here to try now! Absolutely wonderful card as a result. I agree with what Darnell says abut your reaction to the second vaccine, although it's not nice when it happens.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Di xx
Your Easter and spring cards are just gorgeous - my favorites are the one with the print and the one with the glittery butterflies. Thank you so much for playing along with DotMCC. Rosi x
