I'm getting good at last minute entries. Actually, I was the one in college typing a paper in the hall closet while everyone else was asleep the night before it was due!
I have very few C&9 products & a huge wishlist, so decided I better get an entry made for the May Floral Challenge. Once again I used the Floral Fill-In Patterned Paper with the matching stencils. Such a clever idea!
The inks & matching cardstock are PTI Lilac Grace & Amethyst Allure. The sentiment is from the C&9 Flourish Stamp set. I used my Mini MISTI & stamped each word 3 times in Brilliance Starlite Black. The curved edge was done with SSS A2 Curved Edge die. Decided against embellishments, but I did add white dots to the printed ones. It is amazing the difference it makes.
Yesterday I entered this card into the Freshly Made Sketches challenge via Flickr as I just had minutes until it closed.
It's also my entry for the Poppystamps challenge to use printed paper. I really need that to be the challenge every month--haha! It was fun to use a piece of the beautiful Lawn Fawn plaid paper with Distress Inks that matched for the watercoloring. The flower & sentiment are from Poppystamps Friends & Flowers stamp set. I'm also entering SSS Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Edited to add: I think this card is pretty summery, so will also enter SSS Work It Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteThat's so funny...I can just see you in the closet! I have to do everything as early as possible, because I'm such a baby about sleep. Your lavender, gray and black card is stunning! Love the watercolor stripes with the flowers stamped on top - so pretty!
ReplyDeletetoo funny, greta! I totally see you in the closet, too! for being last minute both cards are pretty darn fabulous!
ReplyDeleteyour floral in the lilac color is so pretty and love the watercolour wash on the second one. i was typing those last minute papers on a typewriter and what a chore that was using all that "white-out" stuff. when i started out as a library/media specialist i even had to type those card catalog cards - yikes - what a memory!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use pattern paper, Greta! The curved edge on the lilac card is eye-catching and the color wash across the floral adds pizazz to the design. Your closet story reminds me of many a late night marathon adventure for me too!

ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh with your anecdote about typing in the cupboard - I can relate to that. But about the cards. Love the curved element on your violet card and the watercolour/tartan one just steals my heart. I'm going to try that style - it sooo pretty. TFS
