Not a snowflake to be found at our house this year, which isn't terribly unusual. Now that I'm retired I could have enjoyed having it here this year with no worries about getting to and from work. At least our mountains are finally getting some & I can enjoy snowflake stamps & dies. That brings me to my card using Poppystamps Stitched Snowflake Cutouts die for the first time.
The die was cut once from a dark blue textured cardstock panel with stitching from Lil' Inker stitched rectangle. It was attached to a card front covered with Heidi Swapp silver glitter paper. I intended to use the snowflakes for a separate card, but changed my mind when I laid them over the negative spaces--so pretty. The sentiment from my newest Stampendous stamp set called Winter White (thank you Mr Random!) was stamped in PTI Enchanted Evening multiple times to get it nice & dark. I really love this sentiment--perfect for cards going to blogging friends. Finished off with clear gems in the center of each snowflake. I'm entering Poppystamps, Rudolph Days, HLS Anything Goes with Dies, Merry Monday & SSS Wednesday. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Ah! Blue and Silver - so classy together and I love that die, even though we have not need for such a thing here, as we never see snow. I like the way you used the snowflakes over the top to create interest and texture. We may have "load shedding" here today. Euphemism for not enough power to go around in the heat, so the powers that be, cut off some households for a few hours! Anyhoo, back to your gorgeous card, I really like that sentiment and the way you've photographed your project. Lovely work.
ReplyDeletethe glittery silver mat and the navy with the snowflakes is a wonderful combo, Greta - love that little sentiment too.
