I haven't made many shakers, but that's the current Memory Box challenge so time to make another one. Have to admit--I had a ball with this one! The MB die is called Twirled Heart Border & I used it with Heidi Swapp glitter tape, thanks to Marybeth's cards. The scallops are done with a Spellbinder's die. Decided I wanted all white/clear for the shaker element so used white sequins, clear seed beads & Stampendous Shaved Ice--really pretty in person. Love this old A Muse sentiment--still one of my favorites! Are you making Valentines? They're my second favorite to make & send. I'm also entering challenges at ATSM, CropStop, Uniko & Word Art Wed #217.
Well, I for one, think you should do MORE shakers!! This is fantastic Greta. Love the red glitter with the black, it's striking!
ReplyDeleteWow!! This is fabulous - I love your take on the shaker phenomenon that is sweeping blogland (or has been for the past couple of years). The red scalloped layer on top of the black is a fabulous addition and really makes the card "pop"!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I had to pop over, especially for a fellow schnauzer lover! Your Fritz is absolutely handsome! Lexi is 10 years old, but you wouldn't know it looking at her when she plays as she has the energy of a puppy! :-) I will have to update my blog with new pictures of her soon. I'm a new follower of your blog so I look forward to seeing more of your cards and reading about Fritz's adventures!
Oh, this shaker heart card is fabulous!! I agree that you need to make more shaker cards!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty and sparkly. I like how you used the die to make a shaker card. That little sentiment is cute as can be.

ReplyDeleteThis is very cool--glitzy, glittery, and glamorous! I need to be making VD cards.... getting distracted by Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGreta, this one might top my very very long list of favorite cards you have created. You might need to make more shakers, you are definitely on to something her. Of course I might be bit bias with red black and white being my wedding colors!
ReplyDeleteThis is GORGEOUS, Greta. I always love your cards because they're fabulous and they make me smile from ear to ear. I really need to take a picture of Belle to send you. She's my precious 7-year-old miniature schnauzer, and she is SO precious! I promise to send it! I'm also wondering when Retro Rubber is starting up their next challenge. I'm anxious to play along. I'm sending a friend by to apply for the DT call. Chat with you soon.

ReplyDeleteOh wow, this is absolutely gorgeous! We are so blessed you joined our Challenge weeks ago and would love for you to join our new Challenge still ongoing at Word Art Wednesday. Want to leave you with the inspiration of the Scripture in 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 which says, "But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. " Have a lovely week.
