I think there's a great opportunity in the US for an entrepreneur as we sure need a reasonably priced way to get our handmade cards delivered--LOL! Some costs have gone up again, so I'm more determined than ever to make flatter Christmas cards. That brings me to my last minute entry for the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge--optional twist of stars. This wasn't my first idea, but I'm happy with how this came out. I used a Heidi Swapp stencil for the gold embossed stars. The Hero Arts sentiment is black embossed & the splatters are made with gold shimmer mist & black dye ink. For a bit of texture & interest I scored a frame & voila--one more card ready to mail! I'm also entering Anything Goes at SSS Wed. Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.
I do love a pretty kraft card!! The simplicity of this speaks volumes with the gold stars and scored lines Greta!! When you find that entrepreneur give them my name too LOL!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty with the cascading golden stars on kraft! I too am focused on making flatter, one-stamp cards for mailing!
ReplyDeleteLove the gold and kraft!
ReplyDeleteThe embossed frame is so cool and I love the gold stars on the kraft. I'd be very impressed if this card came for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI think this is fabulous, saw it on the reader and had to pop by and tell you. Love the CAS take and Kraft and gold is a combo I haven't tried but will be now!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous card Greta. The CAS design is superb.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same here Greta ... sending cards is horrendously expensive!! I love your beautiful one layered card ... So sparkly!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Greta! Unless I hand deliver the cards it's going to be flatter cards for me too! This is perfect and such a beautiful Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous card and still meets the regular postage. It does make you think before you really embellish a card you have to mail. Then if you add a backing of cardboard to protect the card, that makes it even heavier. I'm on board with one layer cards too. You have started a movement.
ReplyDeleteLove the splatter look paired with those shimmery stars on kraft. So wonderful! It was the extra ounce and postcard that went up (I think international too). To help with lumps I use bigger envelopes now and cover the front my card with another piece of cardstock,
ReplyDeletePerfect CAS holiday card, great thinking!
ReplyDeleteThis is very stylish, great design! Thanks for joining us at OLCC. I hope to see you in our new challenge too: http://onelayerchristmas.blogspot.com/2015/06/olcc-11-poinsettia.html

ReplyDeletewhat a fabulous card, greta... love the cascade of stars!!
ReplyDeleteThe mix of stars and splatter is just right, great movement to this card!
ReplyDeleteGreat one-layer card! Love how the gold turned out on a kraft with your lovely frame!
ReplyDeleteIt's the same here to and making flat cards offers a chance to send them for an acceptable rate..... But it's ridiculous to see how the prices have gone up the last years...
ReplyDeleteI love your card; gold is on trend and stars are my fave....gorgeous!
I'd better check out the postage changes. I didn't know about that. Your card is amazing! Love the shiny stars!
