I'm joining in the Autism Awareness Blog Hop with my PTI MIM card using Double Partial Die Cutting. This will NOT be my go-to technique--LOL! Using a word die was a complete failure, but I did manage to accomplish it using the Mat Stack & Trendy Tree Tops dies from PTI. I think my knife needs a new blade--it's only 15 years old! Luckily I could cover my cutting with the cotton thread & sentiment. Love the look of Kaleidocolor Blue Breeze brayered on glossy paper. The sentiment from PTI It's A Sweet Life seemed very appropriate to celebrate these very special kids. I used PTI canvas/linen impression plate on the window panel for some texture.
Gotta work Friday through Sunday, so I'll be a little behind in my blog reading. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Edited to add: 3rd entry for SSS Work It Wednesday.

Blue and white (cobalt blue, especially) is my favorite combo and this card is simply charming. Happy Easter to you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat was that....? Double Partial Die Cutting? Yeah, I think I'll pass on that. It just sounds fiddly. You've done well with it though and if there is a boo boo under that greeting well, so be it. We'd never know. Gorgeous blues and a soothing card!

Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Greta! Know what you mean about not your go-to technique. I shouldn't have waited until the last minute to create, but Laura made it look so easy in her video. My first two attempts were a waste of Soft Stone card stock (think I can use them in another way though).
ReplyDeleteLove this stunning card
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a stunning technique but I think I'd be saying a lot of interesting words if I tried it! Love that perfect sentiment :)
ReplyDeleteI gave up on trying this technique after umpteen fails, so seeing your lovely 'success' creation has me smiling! Beautiful card in every way!
