My Mini Cards |
I matted the original piece with a blue scrap & added a soft green pearl to the bow. A piece of vellum was dry embossed & attached to the card front before the panel was popped up.
Final touch was this fun blue & green trim I've had a long time. I'm also entering the anything goes category at Hero Arts & Pixies Snippets Playground. Thanks for stopping by. Sunshine today & hubby even mowed the lawn. Enjoy your weekend.
Edited to add: Here's the link to the Colour Me! challenge I accidentally deleted when editing my post.
That would be hard to do! Good for you to make two...
ReplyDeleteI like the tall one and the one you remade looks fantastic!
The colours of that one are lovely and I love the fiber at the top.
That size does sound like a challenge Greta but you sure rose to the task, these are PRETTY!! I like the redo too. Your twine/trim reminds me of some my SIL gave me years ago. She was in to all of the fuzzy fibers before twine became the rage!
ReplyDeleteYou've done an great job incorporating your scrapling in a card. Lovely card
ReplyDeleteDefinately a challange but you have done well, both cards are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love how the smaller card is made into a larger one - note to self I must remember this.

your scraplings are so pretty, greta! and perfect for placing on another card! love how you used the colors... thanks so much for playing along with Colour Me!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Greta! Love the shimmery rhinestones!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty on both cards. I'm always intrigued with the way you use vellum. Liked the sunshine-y colors on the fronds tiny card too. I think you created a lot of interest on both these minatures. Way to go! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love the look of that embossed vellum, all the cards are great! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Colour Me...!
ReplyDeleteGreta, wonderful that you "up-cycled" your scrapling. I love the addition of colors and more texture, it make a wonderful standard sized card as well as the cute scrapling it was born as. That was a tough scramble, that canvas size definitely takes some getting used to.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea! I love how you cut apart your card to make another one. That's a great use for a small panel like that. Seriously--your hubby *mowed*?!? We still can't see the grass around here--it's still buried under a couple of feet of snow (built up from who knows how many different winter storms). I'm jealous!!
ReplyDeletePretty cards! Love the addition of the gems!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at Colour Me!
What a sweet embellishment you have added to the top of your card :) Lovely job! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Colour Me...! We sure hope to see you again soon!!!
ReplyDeleteA very interesting challenge indeed!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with it Greta!
Thank You~
MOWING THE LAWN IN FEBRUARY? That's just....weird! lol
ReplyDeleteI always have trouble with a change in 'canvas' size - great idea to use the smaller card that way. Love that fun trim!
Lovely card - I especially like the added pearls and fancy trim!. Thanks so much for joining us at Colour Me...!
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards Greta - how strange, I was sent some of that trim with a UK order as a little gift, it's very delicate and pretty!
ReplyDeleteWell done on qualifying for the Mr and Mrs die draw, good luck!
Hugs, Di xx
I like your tiny cards, you made them look very interesting. The one you altered looks good too, I like the embossed vellum.

ReplyDeleteLovely card nd thabks for sharing at the Playground
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job on the mini cards, but I have to admit that I love the mini card as a focal point on the larger card and the lovely yarn you've tied on there!
