My Valentine greetings & a little heart are still on my table, so rounding up my supplies only took 1 minute 10 seconds. The ink is Distress Ink shaded lilac. I stamped it off lightly before stamping the watercolor images. The little hearts are stamped full strength. The sentiment from a company out of business was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. Stickles reside on my table, so grabbed Star Dust for the hearts.
Total time is only 4 minutes, 47 seconds & my 7 supplies are white cardstock, 2 inks, 3 stamps & Stickles. Super simple 1 layer card. It's OK, but now I'm going to add some time & re-do it a bit so I can enter the Colour Me challenge & mail it to hubby's daughter & family. I like version 2 much better.

It's been snowing all day! I didn't attempt going to work after the experience yesterday. Don't worry--I don't provide direct patient care so the patients are fine without me. There was about 9 inches this morning when hubby went out to clear a path to the mailbox--& yes, the mailman came! The measurement is now 13 inches & hubby's headed out to shovel again!

Poor Hubby...love snow but not the work associated with it when one works outside the home. Your update is lovely, I like the added ribbon and flower, it finishes it perfectly along with the heat embossing!
ReplyDeleteWow I can't believe you can create such a sweet card in so little time! And all of that snow sure looks familiar......my little poodle is not happy with this cold snowy winter!
ReplyDeleteboth cards are wonderful, greta... but i do like the "beefed" up version a little better, too! so happy you were able to play along with Colour Me!!
ReplyDeleteThese are both lovely Greta! But the second version does look perked up with the extra punch you put into it!! I think hubby need's a snowblower LOL, that's a looooong path to the mailbox!!
ReplyDeleteWow! You did your card in 4 mins, that's awesome, I love the second version too. I love the snow but I'm glad it rarely snows in AL as I don't like all the work that implies. TFS
ReplyDeleteVery pretty 4 minute card, Greta! I do like the improved version a bit better and I'm sure the recipients will treasure it!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Greta, but my favourite is the second. I can't believe the snow outside your home, it looks beautiful ,your poor hubby must be shattered.

ReplyDeleteThese are just wonderful! Isn't it nice to be able to create something so pretty in just minutes :) Thanks so much for sharing with us at Colour Me...! We sure hope you will join us again soon!!!
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous, so well done, so pure looking!
ReplyDeleteThank You Dear ;)
It is so beautiful, but poor hubby is getting a work out! I heard you were getting hammered up there. We are sitting here feeling so grateful for all this rain. I swear I can see little smile on all the plant leaves!!
ReplyDeleteWell done on this timed challenge, Great! I absolutely adore your sweet Valentine in the wisteria color!! Hugs, Darnell
Greta...love all your snow photos...please send some down my way! Just for one day. Your card is so sweet, I love all the blue and you are so fast too...love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the second version too... Matting and adding the ribbon really makes it pop. Wow, so much snow. Living in an area that never gets snow, it's interesting to see places that get lots. Take care travelling in this.
ReplyDeleteEmbossing the image makes such a difference! I the second card much better and it's still flat enough to mail!
ReplyDeleteLovely Valentine card with little hearts! We got more snow this morn. I, too, have missed a couple days of work. I work at an outpatient clinic in the hospital, so we cancelled procedures. But, am ready for an early spring, aren't you?:-)
ReplyDeleteGreta, love your CAS cards!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying all the PTI-Celebration challenges, but I just can't seem to keep up. HA!
OH MY, that snow is beautiful! BUT...I'm sure it wouldn't be too much fun to have to shovel and drive in. Be safe, my friend! ♥
Glad to hear you stayed safe and warm at home! Even though the patients may not "need" you, guaranteed you were missed all the same. I so empathize with you and the weather wreaking havoc! Our snow isn't anywhere near the amounts you have (for now!), but our temperatures are freeeezing! Your husband's a sweetie for shoveling...and shoveling...and shoveling. Your card: LOVE! Such a pretty colour, and the swoosh works wonderfully with sentiment and heart sprinkles! I predict smiling faces when your husband's daughter and family receive this!! Hugs~c
ReplyDeleteBoth are great cards Greta, but I especially like the second one!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at Colour Me!
