Quick Card

Today's PTI contest is timed: 7 minutes to grab 7 supplies to make a card in 17 minutes.  My first thought was to use PTI Watercolor Wonder &  the current Colour Me! challenge--monochromatic with Wisteria Wonder. Since I'm using a heart on the card, I'll also enter SSS Wednesday.

My Valentine greetings & a little heart are still on my table, so rounding up my supplies only took 1 minute 10 seconds. The ink is Distress Ink shaded lilac.  I stamped it off lightly before stamping the watercolor images. The little hearts are stamped full strength.  The sentiment from a company out of business was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. Stickles reside on my table, so grabbed Star Dust for the hearts.
Total time is only 4 minutes, 47 seconds & my 7 supplies are white cardstock, 2 inks, 3 stamps & Stickles.  Super simple 1 layer card.  It's OK, but now I'm going to add some time & re-do it a bit so I can enter the Colour Me challenge & mail it to hubby's daughter & family.  I like version 2 much better.
Same card with more time & supplies
Just heat embossing the sentiment (thank goodness for my stamp positioner!) made such a difference.

It's been snowing all day!  I didn't attempt going to work after the experience yesterday.  Don't worry--I don't provide direct patient care so the patients are fine without me.  There was about 9 inches this morning when hubby went out to clear a path to the mailbox--& yes, the mailman came! The measurement is now 13 inches & hubby's headed out to shovel again!

  1. Poor Hubby...love snow but not the work associated with it when one works outside the home. Your update is lovely, I like the added ribbon and flower, it finishes it perfectly along with the heat embossing!

  13. Love the second version too... Matting and adding the ribbon really makes it pop. Wow, so much snow. Living in an area that never gets snow, it's interesting to see places that get lots. Take care travelling in this.

  15. Lovely Valentine card with little hearts! We got more snow this morn. I, too, have missed a couple days of work. I work at an outpatient clinic in the hospital, so we cancelled procedures. But, am ready for an early spring, aren't you?:-)

  16. Greta, love your CAS cards!
I'm enjoying all the PTI-Celebration challenges, but I just can't seem to keep up. HA!

OH MY, that snow is beautiful! BUT...I'm sure it wouldn't be too much fun to have to shovel and drive in. Be safe, my friend! ♥

  17. Glad to hear you stayed safe and warm at home! Even though the patients may not "need" you, guaranteed you were missed all the same. I so empathize with you and the weather wreaking havoc! Our snow isn't anywhere near the amounts you have (for now!), but our temperatures are freeeezing! Your husband's a sweetie for shoveling...and shoveling...and shoveling. Your card: LOVE! Such a pretty colour, and the swoosh works wonderfully with sentiment and heart sprinkles! I predict smiling faces when your husband's daughter and family receive this!! Hugs~c
