Metallic Happy Birthday

Time for another DT post on the a2z Blog.  I used my favorite stencil technique--embossing paste with embossing powder. The numbers stencil is a great choice for many occasions & can be used for masculine or feminine cards. Now's the time to pick one up for only $4 in the Sale section of the a2z store.  Metallics are hot right now & it's fun to combine them.  Here I used gold & silver by sprinkling first one powder & then the other on the wet embossing paste. Next I used my heat gun--never tire of seeing that magical transformation!  I'll be sending this to a male family member, so kept things simple & mounted the numbers panel to black cardstock.

Another great sale item is the Happy Birthday Scroll stamp set. It has a beautiful swirly frame image, but the font of the sentiments is perfect for a guy.  Happy Birthday is black embossed, matted with black cardstock & mounted with foam tape.  I added some little rectangle gem stickers that still keep the card masculine.  I'd love to see your projects using stencils in our gallery.  The prize is a $25 gift certificate to the store, but you can use GRETA15 now to get 15% off a minimum $25 order.  Links to the supplies I used are in my a2z Blog post.  I'm entering the metallic challenge at The Male Room & challenges at Seize the Birthday & SSS Wednesday.  So glad you stopped by my blog.
Edited to add: also entering stamps & numbers challenge at Stamplorations.

  6. Hello Greta,
Love the number card, and the effect you have created with the powders. I am not inclined to make male cards, so admire anyone who takes them on as they are not easy to design.
    Smiles:)
