The challenge at AAA is Maxi White Space with optional twist metallic. They suggest using smaller images & sentiments. I recently got Gina K's Sketched Wreath builder stamp set & used the branch & dot for my wreath.
The sentiment, also fairly small, is from the HA/GK Collaboration set called Friendship Blooms. I used the GK Tiny Wreath Builder template & stamped the branch in Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme. For the dots I used an acrylic block & stamped in threes using Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate. The sentiment is stamped in Encore Ultimate Metallic Satin Rose. All the inks I used have shimmer--so pretty in person! I popped the square up on a white A2 card. Now that's a lot of white space--fresh & clean for Spring!
My entry for the Gina K March Monthly Mix challenge uses the same 2 stamp sets. The theme is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" so I pulled out 5 beautiful VersaMagic ink pads (Red Magic, Persimmon, Thatched Straw, Oasis Green & Sea Breeze) for my tulips & stamped the stems in Memento Cottage Green.
I used my Mini MISTI to be sure I got them evenly spaced--first stamping the stems & then the blooms. The sentiment was stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate. I added a tiny gem to each flower & tied on white crochet thread. The dry embossing on the kraft card was done with a TH distressed stripes folder turned horizontally. I rounded the top corners & attached the panel with fun foam. Another springy looking little card ready to pop in the mail.
My last card is for Just us Girls & SSS Flickr #144. I had a leftover SSS Peeking Daisy die cut on my table which I thought would be great to use for the JUGs inlay die cuts challenge.
I seldom use my colored glitter markers, but it was fun coloring the die cut with them. I colored the daisy red, the inlay background silver & the square clear. Oh what beautiful sparkle in the light!
The sentiment from SSS/PPP Collaboration set called Damask Greetings was white embossed on a black panel. Decided the only embellishment needed was a black Rain Dot in the flower center.
Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. If your blog address is in your profile or comment, I will visit you.
