Friendship Tree

My friend, Ros, used a fan brush & acrylic paint to add leaves to a tree stamp.  She inspired me to see what I could do with my Impression Obsession Solid Tree.  There are already some trees in bloom around here, so it won't be long until the Cherry trees are covered with pink.  I stamped the tree in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate on cream cardstock.  Then I made the blossoms using VersaMagic Pixie Dust ink with a Fantastix Bullet Point tool.
It looks really neat in person--not washed out like the photo.  I use a Fantastix Brush Tip tool with VersaMagic Key Lime ink for a bit of grass.
The IO sentiment is retired, but they have a lot of other great friendship sentiments.  I finished off with brown Zig splatters & distressed the edges.  I'm entering Impression Obsession: Best FriendsFusion using just the photo.

  6. Oh what a lovely tree you've created Greta! This is a wonderful friendship card. We planted some blooming cherry trees about a year and a half ago. They had the prettiest double pink blossoms last year. Can't wait to see them again this year!
    You be safe too <3

  7. I love your wonderful tree design and I see both boxes. It might have been a glitch in the whole cyber space network that caused the blanks.

  11. This is so pretty and I'll be glad when the trees are in bloom. The cherry trees are so beautiful when they bloom, it just doesn't last long but there is nothing like fresh cherries. Your technique worked out great.
