Hearts

Lots of items available in my sale pages.  Just leave me a comment if you're interested.

I sent Valentines to my family before I started stamping.  Now they're one of my favorites to make & today I have hubby's to show you.  The Twofer Challenge wants hearts, so I used the same stamp for another occasion as well.
Hubby's not really big on the color red, but he does like purple.  I silver embossed the row of hearts from Poppystamps Grateful Heart stamp set & colored with dusty concord Distress Marker.
Then I covered the hearts with shimmer Pico Embellisher.  The sentiment from the same set was stamped in dusty concord--also used for splatters.
I silver embossed the edges of the card front & added the panel with fun foam.  No embellishments for hubby & actually I don't think they're needed anyway.  I'm entering this one at WAW.

The other card is for a fellow cardmaker--not someone I know.  I just found out she & her husband lost basically everything in the 2018 California Camp Fire.  The same row of hearts was stamped 4 times in Delicata Rose Gold.
Haven't fussy cut in a long time & it's not perfect.  Then again, I don't think she'll mind & I really wanted to make a frame.  I used a shimmer pen to "color" the hearts.  SSS Painted Hugs is die cut 3 times & inked with the Rose Gold--so beautiful in person.
I stacked them with one as a shadow & added a few rose gold sequins.  Very simple, but I really love the rose gold paired with gray.  I'm entering this one at Poppystamps From the Heart Challenge & SSS Flickr Challenge 141.

  4. That is a great card for hubby and great minds are on the same page. I just finished a rainbow card very similar. Now I need to get another one made for the Twofer. I did the dumbest thing. I had my two cards made for the challenge and forgot to take a picture of them together and went ahead and sent one of them! Duh. How sad to lose everything in one of those fires. She will appreciate your card.

  7. Love that you went with purple for DH's Valentine. It turned out so cool - it has a great masculine vibe, but still conveys that 'love message!' Paired with the silver embossing, it's a beautiful card. And how sweet of you to send that 'hugs' card. I can't even begin to imagine how devastating it must be to lose everything in a fire! It's a beautiful card, and she'll treasure it always, I'm sure. Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Bev

  12. Oh, I love the beautiful CAS card you made for your hubby and I'm sure he will too! How horrible for the couple to have lost everything, I just can't imagine that. But they still have each other and this card will warm their hearts.

  17. Beautiful cards with the hearts, Greta!! Your husband will love the Valentine card I'm sure! And, how thoughtful for you to make a card for the lady who lost everything in the 2018 Camp Fire. Love the color on both cards, so pretty!!

  18. Steve is going to love his Valentine with the interwoven purple hearts, Greta! I love the way you silver-embossed the edges of the card front like that! And I agree that with the schplatters, no embellies are necessary. Your second design is genius using the row of hearts as a border! Your fussy-cut and weaving them around is well done. Mary will be moved by your big hugs and the pretty shimmer on the hearts!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer's 2nd Blogaversary challenge! Hugs, Darnell

  19. I love the simplicity of the purple hearts card. The touches of silver combine so beautifully with that colour. What a thoughtful gift for the person affected by fire. A little touch of kindness will surely brighten her day.
