Friendship & Christmas

I have 2 very different projects to share today.  First up is my entry for Heather's W&W April Color Combo.  This time the challenge is to use all neutrals.

I began by die cutting the Do You See What I See? cover plate from white cardstock.  I trimmed it to the shape & size I wanted with my scissors & glued it to a Soft Stone panel.  The flower is made with 3 of the dies from In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers using dark gray & white cardstock--cutting 2 of each size bloom plus a center.   My favorite W&W die, In a Word: Hello, was die cut twice from white cardstock & once from dark gray.  I loved Nuvo Drops when I first got them, but now I can't seem to make drops with them.  However, they work great spread with a wet paintbrush on die cuts.

I used White Blizzard Glitter Drops on the white blooms & word--so pretty in person.  The little word from The Big, The Bold & The Happy was double white embossed on black cardstock.  A black panel was used for the mat, a pearl was added to the flower center & clear sequins finish it off.  I'm also entering The Snippets Playground, SSS Monday & Time Out.

Next is my entry for Christmas Kickstart where the theme is Snowmen.  I've been having fun combining cross stitch with papercrafting, so pulled out the MFT snowman pattern to make a tag card.

I used MFT Cross Stitch Tag & Scallop Cross Stitch Tag.  The sentiment is from a very old MFT stamp set.  I'm also entering CHNCWAW.

  19. Gorgeous snippets card Greta! And I also love your tag. Reminds me that I should die cut a few tags ready to have a play with them! And the snowman is so cute!

Dudley has been yodeling at the heating engineer here - Little tinker! You're so right about him being a cuddly bundle of fluff - but one with a built in alarm system!!

    Hugs
