The die set (DIE43-G) with 3 little bunnies is one of the first I got from Impression Obsession--so cute! It's a good thing I have them since the current IO Challenge is Bunny Love. They probably have in mind an Easter/Spring card, but I was inspired to use them for a Christmas card to also enter in Christmas Kickstart & Rudolph Days.
I decided to go with a classic red, white & green color scheme. IO Three Trees Background was die cut from white cardstock & attached to a green textured scrap. The bunnies were die cut from red foil paper (another scrap) & I used tiny black gems for the eyes.
The sentiment from IO Vintage Ornaments is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne. I mounted the front bunny with foam tape, but think this will still just need 1 stamp. By the way, the trees die cut beautifully even with the delicate branches. I'm also entering The Snippets Playground & SSS Wednesday.
Well, the virus got me. Good thing I finished this card while I just had a sore throat. Now my head aches & my nose is running. Lots of washing hands & using hand sanitizer trying not to pass it on. At least my throat isn't sore now & you can't see me, so I'll be on the couch visiting your blogs.
Aw, the bunnies are so cute on this fabulous christmas card, Greta! I love the traditional colours and the sentiment too. I’m still working on my IO card. Thank you so much for playing along with the Rudolph Days Challenge.

ReplyDeleteReally cute and fantastic with the red bunnies and trees. I don't think it would have occurred to me to put them in the snow but they do indeed forage for grass if the snow is not too deep. Lovely Christmas design. So sorry you are ill and hope you have a speedy recovery.

ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest Christmas card, Greta. I love that when we stamp we have poetic license to color things like we want to. Red bunnies are perfect for a Christmas card. I'm sorry the bug got you. Rest and drink plenty of water and get well soon. Stamping waits for no bug.

ReplyDeleteOooh Greta - what a super idea to use the bunnies with the trees for Christmas! I have similar I think, so will have a play. Poor you though with a virus/bug thingy! Get well soon - Dudley just smiled at me and nodded so I guess his good wishes come too! We finally got him to give his paw for treats and love - now to stop the yodeling! We had heating issues the past three days and although it's finally fixed (no heat OR hot water - sheesh!) I'm amazed he hasn't got a sore throat from the 'woof, woof, then bark bark and finally full blown yodel'! Not sure if h'se protecting us, his home - or more likely himself! He's fine when he meets the intruders and is introduced. Tinker!!
