A Couple Cards

This week the theme for PTI LFF is to use your favorite coloring technique.  I'm most confident using my Zigs on Bristol paper, so that's what I did.  I pulled out Fancy Foliage--a beautiful set I've hardly used.

I stamped in opposite corners on the panel from the center of one of the Pierced Feature Frames.  Then I stamped the sympathy sentiment on a matching die cut in Versafine Clair Acorn & colored the leaves with green Zigs using a water brush.  I wasn't happy with the white, so gave it a very light green wash.  After splattering with a brown Zig, I stacked the die cut 3 high & glued it to the center.  Bold Borders: Foliage was die cut & colored with the same green Zigs.  I used textured brown cardstock as a mat & attached the sentiment rectangle with fun foam to the center.
I'm also entering ATSM.

Next is an inlaid die cut card using SSS Flower Cluster die & a sentiment from SSS Hello Beautiful.

Can't see in the photo, but the little dots in the flower centers are covered in clear Pico Embellisher.  Decided to keep it simple & just tied on black & white twine.  I saved most of the leftovers for another card.  I'm entering SSS Flickr 121 & Double D.
