Z Fold Card

I don't usually do any fancy fold cards & I've never made a Z fold card until now.  Hate to miss any PTI MIM challenges & Ashley's card is darling. The cutting & folding was easy, but I was a little stumped with what to do next!  Ended up sponging & splattering with DI blueprint sketch & wilted violet on the panels that show from the front.

Then I watercolored stripes for the inside center panel.  Images from Snowflake Flurries were stamped in Delicata Silvery Shimmer, except for the back panel.

I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the silver sentiment & get it dark enough. The die cut snowflake was also done with the MISTI so I could stamp it multiple times with both colors.  I covered it with Wink of Stella, clear embossed & finished with a silver glitter Nuvo Drop.
Not sure I'll actually send this one, but it was fun to try something different.  I've already started another one using the rest of that 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock--can't let it go to waste! I'm also entering Rudolph Days.
PTI Stamp A Faire starts today--always fun with so many challenges to try. I have a fun event tomorrow, but will still have plenty of time to play along as the deadline isn't until Aug. 31.  We don't get hurricanes or tornadoes (very few)--one reason we love it here.  I can't imagine what so many people are dealing with today as Harvy approaches the US & pray everyone stays safe.  Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.

  1. You used one of our old favorites, Snowflake Flurries, yay! Hero Arts blog has a card today that would be easy to replicate with this same set. I'm gonna try it sometime soon.

  13. Apologies for being MIA, Greta; lots of changes happening, including moving to a new house in a new town and making the decision not to teach any longer. That, along with travel/bike race officiating/diploma exam marking...and just 'everything' sees me just a bit overwhelmed! Please know that while I may miss comments, I NEVER miss one of your cards and ALWAYS love seeing your creativity! This one: WOW! A technique I've not tried and one you've aced in the most beautiful way!
