Finally have my laptop back--not that they fixed it! They gave me 3 different stories--so frustrating. I can still use it & hopefully the battery will continue to charge. Decided to try an original power cord instead of the universal & see if that solves my problem. At least the part I bought wasn't expensive & who knows--may eventually need it. Fritz is almost transitioned fully onto the new dog food & he's doing good. Still not really wanting to play, but certainly more interested in his world. The backyard squirrel is driving him crazy!
Onto cards beginning with PTI CAWU. This month I was inspired to case Lizzie's gorgeous autumn leaves card. She gave me the perfect layout to use with the image from Autumn Adornments.
I stamped in Versamark & embossed with 4 Zing! powders. Luckily, one of my rectangle dies was the right size for my window inside the dots done with PTI Mix & Mat Flourishes. Love the font of the sentiment from PTI Take Three: Fall. It's stamped in VersaMagic Gingerbread, clear embossed & trimmed into a flag only attached on the left edge. They don't show much, but I did add 3 yellow Nuvo drops. I'm also entering CCCB, Paru's Card Making Challenges, SSS Wednesday & Word Art Wednesday.
Next is my card for MFT Camp Create Day 1: Inlaid Made Easy. Barbara's multi-inlaid scene is fabulous, but I went very simple & just inlaid the beautiful Leaf-Filled Flourish after inking it in PTI Aqua Mist & SSS Mint Candy.
The panel was inked in HA Cornflower & spritzed heavily with Perfect Pearls. The sentiment from On the Line was stamped several times in the same ink. Love being able to use the flower center from Prima Donna Petals for small blooms.
I inked them with SSS Apricot, covered them in Stickles & added tiny blue gems. These inks were the closest I could get to MFT Color Challenge 75. I'm also entering Country View Challenges, CropStop, DRU, SSS Wednesday & Word Art Wednesday. Thanks for your patience as I catch up with all of you. I truly appreciate your friendship.
Ι love both your beautiful cards, Greta, but the first one is my favourite! Beautiful autumn leaves and colours! Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour card for PTI is a beautiful fall card Greta. Love the colors. And your second card is lovely too.
ReplyDeletei love fall cards and yours is gorgeous - the soft colors in your inlaid card are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your name pop up in the Cropstop gallery! You always create such beautiful cards and these are no exception. Love them both -- such a sweet fall card and lovely inlaid die one as well!
ReplyDeleteWow! 2 beauties, Greta. One oh so fallish, and the other summery colors. Love both! Has your dog been ill? So hard to tell what to do sometimes. Going through a crisis with my cat. Think she's just getting old. Or maybe its too hot. Keeping an eye on her.
ReplyDeletebeautiful set of cards, greta... love the rich autumnal tones on the first one and the delicate simplicity of the second!
ReplyDeleteOh, two gorgeous cards, Greta!! First card reminds me of a perfect fall day with the colorful leaves...love it! Second card is so pretty in blue and lovely flowers! Hope Fritz continues to get better!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I love fall and your card is the epitome of fall beauty! At first glance the card base looked like leather to me! Your second card is so sweet. Glad to hear Fritz has taken to his new food. Hope he continues to feel better. Give him a little pat on the head from me!!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Greta, but I'm especially loving your Fall beauty...sooooo pretty!! :0)
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving these sweet cards, Greta! The offset rectangle is awesome on your spectacular leaves card and I think the flow of your thank you card is excellent! The JUGS Shine challenge would have worked, too, but I think you're over the limit ~ next time! So glad to hear that Fritz is feeling Fritzky again and that you got your laptop back. So frustrating; hope it hangs in there for you! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThe colors and especially the off-center rectangle on your fall card make it so stunning. Your second card's delicacy is sweet. Quite a contrast between the two.
ReplyDeleteYour fall card is stunner Greta...I am almost ready to embrace those colors. Your inlaid die card is simply sweet...such romantic colors and a lovely design.
ReplyDeleteYour fall card is really fantastic and the second card so delicate and soft!
ReplyDeleteComputer problems are so frustrating and I hope that yours won't give you any more trouble.
At least Fritz seems to be on the mend...
Beautiful Autumn card, Greta, I love the rich autumnal colours. Lovely inlaid card too. Hope Fritz's recovery continues to go well. xx
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Greta. Love your leaves and the inlaid flourish is a great CAS card. The blue background is so shimmery
ReplyDeleteHello Lovely... Great news about Fritz, I'm sure you must feel better too knowing he is on the mend. Shame about your Laptop... I do hope you can continue to work with it. Your cards are gorgeous... I love the shimmery autumn leaves (I love Autumn and all the colours) And I am a big fan of the inlaid die technique... It's gorgeous! Have a good day my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh Greta, I'm so happy for Fritz and hope he gets better each day. I'm sure he will be playing when he gets 100%. I also have hopes for the laptop too, to get back to 100%. That fall card is just gorgeous. I love the look of the leaves inside the window. I do like the inlaid card too and wish I was there. I wanted to throw clothes into a tote and come up and share the room with you at camp but this week is turning out to be really busy when I thought I had no plans! I even had my inlaid card in my mind but didn't get it made.
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful Greta! Thanks so much for playing in our ‘Anything using Dies’ challenge at Dies R Us! Please come back again soon!

I really like that autumn window card. What's up with Fritz?! I guess I have to read some more to find out. It is hard to transition pets from one food to the next.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have your laptop back :)
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful, but being a lover of all things autumn I just adore the first one.
Sending lots of hugs xx
Beautiful cards, especially the Autumn theme design. It's hard to believe that Fall is around the corner... eeks ! Take care, Shirleyxx

ReplyDeleteYour first cad is so unique and I love the use of those glorious colours. Great use of the different embossing powders. The card base colour looks amazing too x Such a pretty inlaid second card and loving the bling x
ReplyDeleteTwo very different creations Greta, the blue one so soft and feminine but it's the rich Autumnal colours of the first that has to be my favourite.

Fun cards!
ReplyDeleteWonderful news that Fritz is feeling better, even if it means being annoyed with the squirrel! Love the Autumn card with the vibrant embossing and the offset frame. The inlaid card is so soft and pretty. That's another technique that I shall give a try. Always so much to learn when I call in to say "G'day" :D
