Black and Gold

I've always loved working with gold, so had fun using gold & black for a couple challenges.  First is the card I made for the last Hero Arts Flickr Scramble hosted by the super talented, Betty.  Her inspiration cards are all amazing!
The old HA heart stamp was clear embossed on a panel I had covered in Delicata Golden Glitz.  Then I covered it with Brilliance Graphite Black & wiped the ink off the embossed image.
The gold shows through a bit giving the whole panel a gorgeous shimmer. I also covered the card front with the gold ink, so it shimmers, too.
My friend, Alexandra, is hosting this month's ScrapRDV challenge to use gold with black &/or white.  I've been wanting to make something with the PB rose die I got from my friend, Rosemary.
I inked the die cut with gold & embossed with JudiKins Iridescent Sparkle a couple times. Then I inlaid the rose into a panel stamped with a PB sentiment from the set called friendship.  Forgot to splatter before inlaying the rose, so I covered it with the die & then added the black splatters. A scrap of black & white striped paper down the left side finished it off.  Always feels good to end up with a card you really like! Thinking this would be pretty in other color combos, too.  I'm also entering Time Out & Word Art Wednesday.  Thanks so much for stopping by.
