Off to work today, but finished my card for Merry Monday last night. I love my old wood mounted stamps, but since I got the Mini MISTI I've been wishing I could use it with all my stamps. I do have an old fashioned stamp positioner, but I've always used it just to figure out where to stamp the image on the panel. Then I line up the stamp & move the T-bar. For some reason it hit me last night that I should leave the T-bar in place so I can stamp multiple times, which I did for both the wreath & the sentiment. It isn't as easy as the MISTI, but it worked!
Fun to emboss with the Spellbinder die--seldom do that. The wreath is Penny Black, the sentiment is Impression Obsession & the bow is Pretty Pink Posh. The red ink is Brilliance Rocket Red & the sentiment is heat embossed.
I added Stickles to a few of the berries & the bow. Finished off with rounded corners & a red pearl. Red & white always looks festive to me. I'm also entering Word Art Wednesday.
Edited to add: Also entering ATSM.
Good idea stamping with the t-bar and embossing withe the die, which I alwasy forget about to. Such a clean, fresh and pretty card today x
ReplyDeletelovely card Greta - especially like the embossing around the wreath! i've taken the stamp off of lots of my wood stamps and made it into a cling stamp which then works with the misti. let me know if you want my method.
ReplyDeleteOh, so lovely! Great idea with the stamp positioning. Love the embossing with the scallop die - I forget about that too!
ReplyDeleteGreta, this is so pretty. Love it and isn't it great when you discover something that helps so much.
ReplyDeleteSoooo Pretty!

ReplyDeleteOh goodness is this ever pretty Greta! I have many wood mounted stamps that I love too. The stamp positioner isn't as easy as the Misti, but it works ok in a pinch. The bossing framing your wreath is a wonderful part of this design. Your are so creative and always inspire me with your marvelous work!! Thanks for the darling Valentine. I will most definitely pass those kisses on to Sweet P tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely Greta! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis really is a beautiful CAS card Greta. The wreath is a lovely stamp and I love the way you've framed it. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Greta! I love how you framed that beautiful wreath! So creative!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card. I love the wreath and that bright red ink. Such a cute little bow and I like the embossing around the wreath. I love the tip about not moving the t-bar and stamping again. Sometimes the most obvious thing is the one we don't think of until someone points it out.
ReplyDeleteSweet and beautiful all in one!
ReplyDeleteLove your stamped wreath within the embossed wreath. Really pretty!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Greta, I so love that white and crisp red together. So very festive.
ReplyDeleteYour right, It was a wonderful sunny weekend! I drove up to the dam on Saturday and the spillway was open, gorgeous! But I'm so sad for the people of Oroville, they have evacuated the whole town, I think about 16,000 people!
ReplyDeleteYou have showcased Winnie and Walter wonderfully Greta!!
I really love this one!!!!

Just don't jostle the T-bar! Great card, crisp and clean. Red and white rock for holiday cards, especially with a spot of glitter on them.
