PTI and W&W

I try not to miss PTI MIM & Melissa's cards are stunning as usual!  Most of my PTI dies are solid so I used my masks for the focal point instead of the background.
I cut the tree from Floral Foliage out of copy paper & saved the positive & negative. I began by taping the negative over the panel & sponged Spring Moss & Classic Kraft for the tree. The image of 3 blossoms from the set was stamped in Autumn Rose. With the mask in place I inked the tree with Versamark so I could clear emboss it. Magenta Stickles was added to each flower & I managed to brush it with my hand a couple times--hate waiting for Stickles to dry--haha!  I used the positive mask over the tree to color the background by smooshing Spring Rain & Fine Linen & then both colors were sponged.  The smooshing just adds some texture for a different look.  The sentiment from Wonderful Words Hello was stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate & the panel was spritzed with gold Shimmer Spritz. I grounded the tree with thin brown ribbon & Hero Arts cream lace I've had forever.  The panel is mounted to an Autumn Rose mat with fun foam.

Next is my card for Winnie & Walter Rerun #15.  I don't have It's a Wonderful Pennant, but fortunately you can also use inspiration from the DT with other sets.  I fell in love with Keren's flower & decided to make a Fall card.  My favorite trees are the ones that go from green to red, so I pulled out brown, green & red scraps.

Each of them was stamped repeatedly with the little leaf image from Big, Bold, Seasons using a matching dye ink.  I used a ruler & pencil so I could cut each piece into pennants.  I assembled them in threes--one of each color with the red one in the center & shorter. The center is made with a punched kraft circle & the sun die from Big, Bold, Seasons cut from a scrap of soft gold paper.  The same paper was used for the autumn die cut & the word from the set was stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent chocolate. The card front was stamped in Versamark.  I added scattered straw Stickles to the flower center & the word.  Everything was already attached & I didn't want to start over, but the red & green looked too much like Christmas.  I sponged on Distress Ink vintage photo, which helped some, & then added vintage photo Stickles.  Now, of course, you can't see the leaf stamping, but at least it has a bit more Autumn feel.  Hopefully it will brighten someone's day.  I'm also entering Dies R Us, SSS Work it Wednesday & The Playground.  Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.

  20. Great cards Greta! The snippets flower is fabulous. And I learned the hard way that if I use Glossy Accents or Stickles then the card has to be put in another room altogether until it dries! :)
