We're having some beautiful Fall days putting me in the mood to make Fall cards. I started by sponging the ivory card front with Distress Ink spiced marmalade.
Then I lightly stamped an image from SSS Sketch Ranunculus in DI dried marigold & splashed it with water. To soften the splashes I then sponged with DI scattered straw. SSS Autumn Blessings was die cut from kraft & green cardstock. I inlaid the green words into the kraft panel, inserting the little kraft pieces. The MFT pumpkin was die cut from cardstock & felt to give it more body. I colored the wooden embellishments, tiny pearl & twine to match. The layout was provided by SSS Flickr Challenge #55 & I'm also entering Double D & Stamplorations Theme & Sketch (blending). Thanks so much for taking time to stop by.
Beautiful Autumn days here as well Greta, a bit chilly though. Lovely colours on today's card and I bet the pumpkink feels so textural but from felt.

ReplyDeleteWonderful look with the water ghosting of this pretty image, and that sounds like a good technique to try as you've described. It made a beautiful background for the rich colors of the border sentiment and the great texture of the felt apple! Gorgeous fall card. TFS & Hugs
