Happiness in Red, Black & Gold

Penny Black Saturday Challenge
Hope you'll check out our November challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  This is an easy one--use a die or punch & don't forget to use something from Penny Black.  You won't be sorry if you take a moment to check out the wonderful creations made by my teammates.
My card uses Penny Black's "fancy flourish" die & a sentiment from "every happiness". November/December birthdays sometimes take a back seat to the holidays, so I wanted this card to be special. The flourish die cut makes such a statement, especially embossed in gold, that I kept the design pretty simple.  Fun to use a snippet of an old 12x12 sheet of designer paper along with a row of small black gems.  You're probably not surprised to see the splatters--not sure how I made cards without them all those years--haha! Thanks so much for stopping by--hope to see you in the gallery!  I'm entering Anything Goes at Seize the Birthday.
