Winter Chill--Winter White
Down to the wire, but finally came up with a card for the Impression Obsession Winter Chill challenge. I was also inspired by the Winter White theme at City Crafter Challenge Blog. Gave me a chance to use some of my newest IO products: snowflake & tree dies & a lovely sentiment stamp which I don't think had ever been inked. I glued the little snowflakes cut from a light blue cardstock scrap onto a piece of light gray cardstock. The bottom edge was torn & covered with Rock Candy Distress Glitter which also covers the trees.

I mounted the middle tree with foam tape over the matted sentiment which is stamped in Memento Gray Flannel. I debated adding twine or ribbon or bling, but decided I like it as is. I need a thank you card right now, so this one is going in the mail.
Blue & white scraps were used, so I'll enter at Pixies Snippets Playground. I'm also entering at SSS Wednesday Something New. Thank you so much for taking time to stop at my blog.

Gorgeous card Greta! I do love those sparkly trees and am so with you about using Gray Flannel for stamping. I love the softer look and now also use it for some images which will be coloured in lighter shades.
ReplyDeleteYour parcel is on its way and should arrive soon. Just realised that the tree die you used today is similar, but in fact nicer, than the one you won.

Beautiful I love the tree die cuts with the glitter (I've ordered the die) and the ripped cardstock at the bottom creates a great snow effect. I hope you are doing well, Shirleyxx

ReplyDeleteOh my, your sparkly trees are beautiful. I love how you did the ground too. I'm sorry the Ducks didn't win but they did exceptionally well to get to the play off game. I forgot, when I said you could sleep in after watching the game, that you get it earlier than we do here! Duh.
