A plumbing emergency, football & work got in the way of cardmaking the last few days, but I was determined to finish a card for the PTI MIM colorful card corner challenge. I tried to use the colors from ColourQ with PTI Scarlet Jewel, Melon Berry, Simply Chartreuse & Classic Kraft. I loved Danielle's unique design & tried to Case it. Think my medallions from PTI SAF 1920 should have been stamped off, but too late now. The focal point is made with Lovely Layers dies & stamps & the little green leaves are from Turning A New Leaf. The sentiment from Through the Trees is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.
I added texture with PTI linen/canvas Impression Plate & a bit of Stickles to finish it off. I love the colorful corner concept & hope to try again for a better result. I don't have to work for a few days, so I'll be visiting your blogs soon. Thanks so much for stopping by.

So pretty Greta! Love the fancy layered blossom!
ReplyDeleteI love elegant simplicity. This card certainly qualifies for that. The sentiment is certainly something that should be paid more attention to in this day and age. Beautifully done Greta.- Jim
ReplyDeleteOh my stars this is gorgeous! I love the background stamping!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with plumbing...me too. My blog has been quiet and I have been MIA, and that is partly why. I am flying solo these days, so it's flippin' Murphy's law. I was determined to beat it and not let it defeat me!
Glad you got your 'distractions' all resolved. What a way to start the New Year! (I clogged our master toilet..which is supposed to flush 28 golfballs! But we'd had rain, so could have been a factor). I LIKE this layout, and your medallions look lovely as you've stamped them. That flower really draws the eye right in to this pretty card. TFS & stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI like how you didn't overwhelm your card with the colors from the challenge, but just put them all in one corner to make a statement that pops!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!! LOVE the flower!
ReplyDeleteDarling card, Greta!
ReplyDeleteLove the quote!
