Rainbow Medallions #2

I came up with another card for the PTI MIM challenge.  This time I used an image from Quilled Elegance & 4 PTI inks: Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Summer Sunrise & Limeade Ice.  I sponged on a bit of the ink & added a tiny pearl to each image.  The center is die cut & the panel is popped up over a circle card with the sentiment from Lovely Layers stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.
This year our Gravenstein apple tree is loaded!  I've already given a sack full to my neighbor.  It's a lot of work to core, peel & slice them, but I did manage to get an apple crisp made--one of hubby's favorite desserts.  I love using the antique bowls that were my grandmother's.  Thanks for stopping by my blog--I always appreciate your visit.

  1. Greta, this is seriously gorgeous! Love the added sponged on colour. Quilled Elegance has been on my wishlist for a long time - I think it just moved up a couple of notches. Apple crisp is my favourite homemade dessert and now I'm hungry.

  8. Stunning, Great!! Really stunning, both of them! Mister's favorite apples in the world (and he eats a lot of them!) are Gravensteins and we only have them in the market here for about a three-week period out of the whole year! He just loves the flavor eating them out-of-hand, but I think they are the best cooking apple and I'm with your mister ... apple crisp is my favorite dessert, too! Now I have to hate you a little bit for posting that yummy-looking photo!! Hugs, Darnell

  9. This one is gorgeous! But that apple crisp look even better - we don't get anything here - my apples are eaten by the racoons and my peaches are eaten by the squirrels.....

  13. Lovely card. I really like the circle shaped card with the the stamping. The Quilted Elegance stamp set looks great using this technique and the little pearls really give it a delicate look. Really great card.

  24. Squeal! A second stunning x awesome vibrant medallion card and a photo of one of my favourite desserts! I'm already 'tasting' how delicious this apple crisp is! I don't bake it at home, because it's a 'specialty' my mom makes when I visit (that, and blueberry or rhubarb crisp). It's a 'mom made for me' treat - and that makes it all the more special. A dollop of ice cream and I am one ultra happy daughter! I'll be yours is as fantastic as my mom's; what a gem you are for spoiling your husband with this! Lucky guy indeed!
    Hugs~c
