I bought these crayons many years ago & hardly ever use them. Decided to try them for one more card to enter the PTI MIM challenge. I colored directly on the Turning a New Leaf stamp with 2 shades of green & blended with a fairly dry waterbrush & repeated 2 more times, stamping on watercolor paper. I stamped the Inkadinkado sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa & then added texture with the Linen/Canvas impression plate.
Not a typical Easter card, but sometimes it's fun to do something different. Since the watercolor panel is a snippet, I'll add this to Pixies Snippets Playground. Thanks for stopping by.
So pretty Greta! Love the watercolor technique!

What a lovely technique with those leaves, Greta! I have some Gelatos, but haven't used them in quite awhile! I must get them back out to play! Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL Greta!!! Oh so love the watercolor image, such a fantastic card and execution :)
ReplyDeleteI love the effect you achieved with the watercolor crayons!
ReplyDeleteI tried this technique with the crayons and couldn't get any image. You've done beautifully with it! I love the softness of the green and the layout and ribbon are awesome!
ReplyDeleteWonderful softness here. Love the off set and rounded corner on your panel placement.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely result Greta!! And your bow could not be any more perfect:)
ReplyDeleteIt turned out lovely, Greta!! Can't wait to get mine!
ReplyDeleteLike you, I bought a couple of sets several years ago, I am not sure I can even find mine if I had to. When we moved from Hawaii to where we are now...somethings were such a mess with our move with the way things were packed by our moving company and never got sorted correctly, and I do believe this is one of those items. I am not sure where they ended up in the missing mystery crafting black hole.
ReplyDeleteHowever, you put yours to good use. Just beautiful!
Wow Great this turned out beautifully!! Love you pretty little bow too. Max gets groomed tomorrow. All of his soft teddy bear winter coat will be gone! He gets so hot when it warms up though, so he'll feel better. Fingers crossed for the predicted 66 degrees on Thursday!!! Give Fritz a pat on the head for me ;)
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card, I just love this technique and your beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteStunning Easter card Greta...I love what you did, your flowers are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteOH MY, this is simply GORGEOUS, Greta! WOW, you achieved some beautiful results with the crayons! I love the beautiful bow & the pretty green with the kraft! AND, the one rounded corner is THE perfect finishing touch! Well done!
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty, pretty! I didn't know water-colour crayons even existed and seeing you use them with such style and finesse has me dazzled once again! Soft, pretty, a perfect Easter card in every way! Give Fritz a hug for me; I know he loves being your furbaby!! Hugs~c
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and so elegant Greta!!!
ReplyDeleteWow...this technique has made a wonderful effect. This one is so soft and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, and such a wonderfully Spring-y Easter card! Love the bright greens :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the softness of the leaves; it is delicate and perfect as we see glimpses of spring.

I keep thinking I want watercolor crayons because well.. CRAYONS! But I'm not sure I'd just have them and not use them. I love the soft leaves you've made with yours.
ReplyDeleteSO beautiful, Greta!! I think this works perfectly as an Easter card, and your bow is just amazing!
