Wow--summer has arrived in Western Oregon! Low-mid 90s before July 4th is definitely NOT what we're used to around here. I'm about to hop the fence & join the pool party at the neighbor's--LOL! Martha, my friend in Texas, will be laughing at me, I know. Actually, we have air conditioning making the house a great environment for making cards so that's what I did today. If you were following the Penny Black blog this week, you know they just released new stamp sets & the first ever Penny Black Creative Dies. My card is made with the cute Transparent set summer fun, 30-107. If you're not big on coloring you may think little images aren't for you, but I discovered it's not so intimidating to color a small image. I even managed to add a bit of shading to my flowers. The Madison Paper Pad has a great variety of designs & I decided to try some paper weaving with the polka dotted papers. I used a Spellbinders oval in the center & popped up the panel over my flowers. This narrow grograin ribbon was a gift many years ago & I love the look with these little flowers. Enjoy your weekend, whatever the weather, and thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.
Added note: Joining in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
Love that bright happy card. The colors are great and the strip & ribbon set it all off so nicely.
ReplyDeleteLove the paper weaving! Great design. Enjoy the summer!
ReplyDeleteGreta, stunning! Absolutely stunning! Love the paper-weaving, the colours and the vase of flowers is just tooooooo darn cute. Can you believe I don't have any PB products in my collection! What rock have I been hiding under! Time to come out and do some shopping; look out PB new releases...here I come! Hope your sweltering temperatures drop down a bit; we're in similar unusually warm weather here, too! I'm not good at handling heat (or cold), but sunny days are a treat, all the same! Have a great Saturday evening!

ReplyDeleteOH, I'm SO sorry to hear you are in the "low-mid 90s"! I literally laughed-out-loud, even before you mentioned my name. My husband was seated next to me, & I HAD to read your comment to him. Our highs have been in the mid to upper 100s. Today's high was 107...and to think it's ONLY June! It's been quite miserable! Tomorrow we are supposed to get a COLD-front, the high will be 98. HA...HA...! I'll take your "low-mid 90s", right about now! However, it's good to know you do have air-conditioning! We couldn't survive without it. Stay cool!
Very pretty card with the vibrant colours, love the cute little image. Enjoy the heat ! Shirleyx
