Love & Kindness

Here's my card for the Impression Obsession Sweet thoughts challenge.  It's not a typical Valentine, but think it will work for one of my card-making friends.  The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug.  I used Encore! Ultimate Metallic Purple, Satin Rose & Teal for the sweet IO Flowers from Petite Flowers 1, CL179.  I wanted to keep a softness to the card, so the quote (IO C8356, Love & Kindness) is stamped in Brilliance Starlite Black rather than my usual "go-to" Versafine Onyx Black.  The circles & scalloped circles are Spellbinders dies.  I debated about embellishments & ended up deciding to only add a single tiny pearl to each flower.  I'd love to hear what you think--suggestions are welcome! Hope you found something inspiring from your visit today.  I've come down with a bad cold, so couldn't go with my friend to see Les Miserables--maybe later this week.  Hope you're all avoiding the bugs going around & are having some fun this weekend.

    I think your card is so beautiful Greta! And I agree with your choice to stick with one pearl embellie on each flower- it really works:). I hope you feel better soon- my hubby and I were sick with what's going around and it wasn't fun.

    Beautiful design, Greta! I love the softer ink color on the sentiment and I agree with you about the single pearl being the way to go for embellishments. Knock on wood, we've managed to stay healthy so far. Hope you are feeling better soon!

    Hello Greta,
    The embossed background of your card catches the eye immediately, it has a certain simplicity, but it is also striking in design, I am pleased also that you kept the embellishments to a minimum, as this card is perfect.
    I have been to see Les Mis; and once I got past the oddity of hearing Hugh Jackman sing, I began to enjoy the film. I hope you will recover from your cold and be able to see it.
