DeNami Design Pretty Pastels Blog Hop

DeNami May Blog Hop
Hello Hoppers!  If you arrived from the wonderful world of Dana Seymour you're right on track & full of inspiration!  If you get lost, just head to DeNami Design where you can find the entire list of blogs. I accidentally got my card ready a week early (right date on the calendar, wrong date in my head!) so that gave me time to do a second one.  All the stamps are by DeNami.

Love the new retro borders cling stamp set, so had to use one for my background.  The daisy stamps I've had for years & they're some of my favorites.  You can get a very different look by just bending the petals up a little like I did here.  The inks are Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue, Jade & Purple.

I wanted to use my twine in a new way after seeing the DeNami Twinery hop.  It's just right as the grass with these cute flowers, I think.  To get matching gems I put a drop of Glossy Accents on clear gems & covered them with the same pink, yellow & blue glitters used on the flowers.  The punch is by Martha Stewart.

You have until May 21st, 2012, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize). DeNami is awarding TWO $20 gift certificates to the website for TWO people who comment along the hop!  Off you go to see the eye candy Andrea Fisher has for you.  So glad you stopped by today!

  4. WOW. I'm planning to CASE both of these beautiful cards Greta. I really like how you used that swag border to create that stunning background/focal. And your bent flowers give so much dimension.

  7. These are both beautiful designs. I love the embossed background, the dimension of the flowers and the pearl accents on the first one. And on the second one . . . wow! Where to begin. The grass border is genius. The border on the top of the green cardstock gives the impression of torn notepaper which is really cool. The use of glitter and jewels! I LOVE IT!

  15. Hello Greta
It always amazes me that a promise of gift certificate can increase your comments 10 fold.....I hope some of these return to see your lovely work.
I am a little cynical this morning, my apologies; I don't know why, it is not my nature to be negative.
Anyway my friend, looking at your two cards; the first I am loving the retro border it looks wonderful especially with the daisies, your pastel palette helps to make it pleasing to the eye.
Your second is just delightful, you have wonderful clean lines, but it is the Verdant Moss Green Bg that warms you up inside, and is the perfect backdrop to your innovative use of the twine as grass, no doubt we will see many more cards with this element used in the same way, as it adds interest as well as texture and dimension. It is brilliant.
    Smiles:)

  25. Your cards are both so pretty and thoughtfully designed. I love all the ways you used polka dots on the first pretty card. And the little bits of sparkle and the twine on the second make it so pretty. The border punch at the top looks just like a little border fence around the flower garden. Too cute!
    Thanks for sharing! :)
