First Merry Monday card

MM Snowflake Challenge
I love to play in the challenges at Merry Monday. They have a wonderful DT & my favorite reason to make cards is Christmas. This week we're to use a snowflake on our card--something else I love!  My panel was originally discarded due to imperfect embossing. Embossing powder with glitter in it is not the best thing to use for emboss resist--live & learn, as they say. Everything is better with Stickles & sure enough--it rescued my Hero Arts snowflake.  I added some splotches with white paint & mounted it to the card front with foam tape.  
Finished with this gorgeous old PrintWork stamp. First card for 2015 & it won't need extra postage--yah! Thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog.

    It's so shimmery and gorgeous! I hate the stupid no-glitter for embossed resist rule. But every time I do it, it scratches up my spongers!

    This is so pretty. I love the shine of stickles and they aren't so messy. It is a beautiful snowflake.

    Your snowflake is gorgeous and it is the perfect focal point as well. The splotches of white paint are perfect too.

    Greta...this is one stunning snowflake! I love all the wonderful sparkle and that sweet pale blue background, perfect! It looks like a mind snow flurry going on, so sweet and just amazing.

    I love it! I enjoyed Merry Monday last year as it really helped me get a boost on getting my Christmas cards done. I started a card with a snowflake but then ran out of steam. I should finish it off and do this week's as well (critters). I really like your snowflake card and love the fact that you rescued it from the brink of disaster!
